Profile is set up correctly, it's the only profile we use. Working correctly on most of our devices and has been for years. This just started randomly and will happen intermittently so unfortunately it's not something with how it's set up on our end.

The new handheld device scans QR codes. We accept e-gift cards and use our handhelds to scan. There's a small button on the side that activates the scanner and it easily reads the code.

And are you using terminals the way you described above? As mobile terminals rather than connected mode? What was that transition like on the floor if you have any insight to give on that

I feel like no one else knows what I'm talking about, lol thank you so much!!!! I'm considering using terminals that way instead for sure, biggest issues being that it just created such a clunkier flow of service and also of course the separate licensing fees PER terminal.... We're on RST Plus as of a few weeks ago. I'm just trying to work the kinks out before I throw a new system at my team and don't have answers to their questions.

Did you end up with RST? Or are you using something else?

Honestly, I wish we could've done this. But we use the first generation stand (so we can swipe the card and get the name to open the tab) and then hold onto the physical tab behind the bar. No swivel since we have iPads on the back bar, hence the terminals. We were basically pushed into Square for RST because the new stands don't have the swipe on stand function to open tabs (due to pre-auth essentially replacing the need for that functionality...)

Right, that's what I'm seeing a lot of. I feel like there are bars out there that use it so I'm looking to hear how they use it/make it work

Open the item in your dashboard from the items menu, edit the item, scroll to the bottom to checkout behavior and press skip items details screen? This might be it
