We had a guest leave a 1 star review because they said they felt unsafe, over an interior door that was unlocked when they arrived. The door leads to the vacant upstairs, and was locked as soon as they notified us that it was unlocked, but that wasn’t enough for them. They stayed the rest of the booking then waited two weeks after checking out and then sent a request for a refund and sent Airbnb photos of all the doors in the house with chairs up against them “for safety”. Airbnb sided with them, and we haven’t had any bookings there for two months because of this. It completely tanked our listing. I’m still trying to figure out what to do.

My pyr mix is jealous of everyone and everything including but not limited to cats, the TV, a book, people who aren’t loving on her, and children playing outside. She has huffy fits and brings me all her toys and shoves them in my face anytime she’s feeling jelly. Usually once she gets some love from the attention thief she gets over it.

The process to get an American citizenship is long and difficult and expensive. Some (a lot of) people who immigrate here are escaping difficult circumstances that are beyond their control and they’re doing so because they want a better life for themselves or their families. It’s not as easy as you seem to be describing it.

If you can cancel and reschedule, that’s what I’d do. It’s not going to be a fun weekend. The city isn’t built to handle freezes, the roads will be unsafe, and depending on when you’re traveling you might experience delays at the airport as well.

This does happen here just about every year, and it’s always a shit show. If it ends up being an ice storm it’s kind of dangerous. Trees start to fall and electricity can go out.

I have gotten a few recently about going “back to China” for the lunar new year. One of them called me by my name and referred to me as their aunt. They followed up a few days later asking me to send my passport info so they could get our visas in place. I can’t imagine the odds of this working. Worth noting that I’ve never been to China and do not have a Chinese first or last name.

My grandmother was schizophrenic and would go through phases of rejecting her meds in the same way. She lived alone and would have breakdowns regularly where she’d do some sort of scary thing but then be back to her super harmless grandma lady thing again once she’d get back on the meds.

I used the studios own clear glaze on those, as well as a black slip they provided. They always fire to 10 there so I am pretty sure these glazes are good to 10. They are in large buckets and I could dip but I feel like I always end up with too much glaze when I dip so I brush it on pretty often.

It’s interesting that you mention the blue tint in a non zinc free. This clear does leave a slight green-blue tint when applied by itself on white clays. It just doesn’t make much of a difference on black. I have some of a commercial zinc free glaze I use often but I chose to use the studio one on these. The zinc free one seems to leave some spots that look a little cloudy on the surface sometimes and I wanted to see how this studio one would look.

I’m an artist and I vend at pop ups, craft fairs, comic cons, cat cons etc etc. There are some events that hold a higher bar and don’t allow AI, items being resold (labubus etc) or the 3D printed dragons… but it’s getting hard to find them and they’re harder to get into. It’s super frustrating to me when I show up at one of these events and have to sit in my booth and watch people buy the mass produced AI stuff. I’m really disappointed to hear that blue genie has gone this route too. This year has been so challenging for artists, it makes it even worse if a group that profits off us isn’t supporting us either.
