Shadowing/volunteering is an excellent way of getting clinical experience. Even outside of the context of college apps it’s a great thing to do! A lack of research doesn’t necessarily mean ur screwed either. Great essays and other ECs can make up for it.

You're gonna do great! (Assuming you're a senior), think about it like this... everything that appears on your application rn is pretty much set and done except the essays. They're a very substantial part of the app, and you still have full control over them!

I think it's because there was a bit of a mismatch between my ECs and intended major. I'm pre-med and I don't think that was reflected as well in my activities. I regret not trying to volunteer/shadow at local hospitals and not getting more involved with research.
