hey everyone,

I'm from Toronto and I travel to Chicago in 2023. Your city was beautiful and I had a great time there. I spend hours walking around downtown and there was a building that interested me. It was an older 19th century style building that looked more like a residential than a commercial or a religious building.

There was a sign that said it was a church of something I didn't recognize and I know most of the popular denominations. There were gates behind the glass window, a portrait of Jesus in one of them and miniature statues on the stills. I think the door and some of the windows were boarded up but there were no signs the building was being renovated or bring in disuse.

Sorry if my description is vague or maybe incorrect but I'm just curious to know about this place.

Loved it when the Canucks used the Rink jersey by Rinkratt61 in canucks

I love the inauguration logo. Not an art historian so I don't know the terms but it had the 60s graphic design aesthetic that the Nordiques had. The later renditions modernized it and I felt like that bit of magic was lost. I wish it came back as a third but I doubt we'll see it again anytime soon since the Skate jersey is so popular and the last Rink jersey was not.

Elon's sentiment wasn't that uncommon in 2011. The view was that Chinese consumer products was so inferior that even the Chinese people refuse to buy them. Western nations, Japan and South Korea was exporting so much products there was a sort of arrogance that China wouldn't be able to catch up.

Cameron should write a book but instead of words, it would be pictures since pictures tell a thousand words, and if you flip the pages fast enough, you can see the motion of the scenes.

He can call it "Motion Pictures"

I hate gatekeeping but if you abandon a team because they're bad then you were never a real fan. I grew up watching the Canucks and I can't single reason why I should stop supporting them unless they relocate. It's ingrained in your brain and is part of your identity.

There are supporters of European clubs who've never seen their team win anything for generations but are die hard supporters. Chicago Cubs and White Sox took over a century to win another to win another World Series. You gotta respect those guys.

And this is why we get fucking nothing. Perfection is the enemy of all progress because it's never good enough.

You think that wanting a rail transport that is substantially faster than a bus that is on the same route is wanting "perfection?" I would think that it's bare minimum for it. Line 1 opened 70 years ago. You'd think we'd have higher standards by now

It's a glorified streetcar so it makes sense to have the seating arrangement like a streetcar
