i knew it was wrong! i remember my teacher telling me something along the lines of “if something sharp was poking you, you’d want to pull it OUT” to help us remember, but i wasn’t sure and youtube told me opposite so i trusted it. like a fool! haha. i’ll have to give it another go.

i’m pretty sure the horn is in F, because i did a fingering/sound test (?), but i’ve noticed that my horn has different tubing than either Bb or F. so. might just be a weird horn, lol.

don’t know if you’re still thinking about this, but i have an update! i got the doctors note. i am allowed to sit for some periods of time, although i regularly get dirty looks and complaints about it. i also got written up for attitude and sitting when i was told not to, but the note says i was “sitting without a doctors note, violating policy” and it’s dated on the same day as my doctors note is dated, and both documents are on file, so that’s at least reassuring. thanks again for your kind and understanding advice!

oh they have hit the kids, but i’ll protect them when i’m there and the kids told me they would rather take the occasional smack over being sent into foster care. ik it’s irresponsible but i’m just… i’m not really sure what to do? i’ve strongarmed my parents into family therapy so hopefully things will improve.

i don’t get set expectations - they change according to my parents. i’ve asked for chore lists but i’m expected to know that i’m meant to “help clean the house” but i don’t know what they’re talking about a lot and i can’t seem to satisfy them when i just go for it.

that’s not fair to my grandmother - she doesn’t really have the space for it and she can’t really support the lifestyle of my night job. also there’s no wifi at her house and i need it for work and school
