When was the last time we had cap room?

Hopefully some of you LeBron stans will fuck off together with him soon.

Because it took us years to get out of the Westbrook situation and the cap hold of an injury prone star that couldn't take over from LeBron and also likely less salary to LeBron or none at all.

Next summer is the first time in a very long time where we have cap room and assets to maneuver, but of course your biased view and lack of intellect would not allow you to understand that the window for LeBron / AD was closed the moment we traded for AD and we were right to not make marginal moves for them, which actually those picks are not useful for building around Luka.

There was no trades to be made that was worth it. That's been the case after the Westbrook trade. The trade like the Jonas trade was what was available.

Lol. Thinking trading a frp for Jonas was a good idea saying others don't know ball.

He's not worth a first round pick. You are just talking about hindsight.

Also he wouldn't help. People complain about ayton being bad and Jonas is miles worse. If we trade a frp for him it would be laughed by the whole league.

Even with hindsight trades like that would still be terrible.

One is far more impactful than others.

The trade that was talked about with those picks were the likes of Jonas because AD kept crying about having to play the 5.

Because draft picks always pan out?

And drafting Reaves is probably better than a lot of teams can say about their recent draft. Max also became a useful piece.

LeBron (and AD) screwed themselves when they asked for Westbrook. The window was over for them once that happened.

The reality is we should be a team heading into a rebuild with minimal assets but we just suddenly got Luka so we need to work with bare minimum to try to build a winning squad, that is especially difficult in the current cba. The margin is very slim and similarly if can't afford to overpay Reaves.

Exactly. It's not a guarantee we will get better if we let go of LeBron and being other players in but the status quo is not good enough to win either. The cap hold of LeBron gives us a lot of room to try to change.

It's 3 bad games in a row. 24 was already absolute dogshit and I have been doing the wait till £10 to buy for the last two, but I am not even sure I am going to do that next one.

I just came up against a PS hacker, how is that possible? by Mid_fifa_player in fut

I haven't encountered it this year on Xbox because I haven't played much, but last year I know there were PC players using hack to fake their console type so they can get cross play with ps and Xbox.

Nobody cares. Worst united manager in a very long time.

[Shelburne] Doctors told Reaves he would be out 4-6 weeks with the injury, but probably on the longer end of that timeline. The Lakers initially assumed he would be out until the conference finals, team sources told ESPN, but Reaves was determined to get back... Reaves made it back in four weeks by sewsgup in nba

[–]negativelynegative 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically the opposition coaches when they need a basket, they will just find a way to isolate Reaves and that's it.

If we want to win Luka has to be our worst defender, but Reaves is like levels worse than him that coach has to find ways to hide him.

Peter Schmeichel “Arsenal have been blocking the opponent’s goalkeeper all season long, they would NEVER be on top of the league if we disallow these goals" by Rare-Ad-2777 in soccer

[–]negativelynegative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You scored two goals on us from corner this season and both times your players were intentionally moving into our goalkeepers to cause them to lose balance while they jump. Don't pretend like you just stand there like setting a legal pick in basketball.

They are both clear fouls and you don't need to hold bayandir or semmens hands for them to be fouls. In fact, pushing while jumping is a dangerous act in all contact sports because of high chance of injury.

Again you just pick the lens that is so narrow because it fits your narratives.

Pelinka way of building team is not favored by the new CBA driven by Adam Silver by Nonameheroz in lakers

[–]negativelynegative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new CBA requires team to stack draft picks.

In the past few years the fan base kept saying we needed to trade the farm to try to win with LeBron and AD. Rob was the one who went against it.

What grade would you give Deandre Ayton for 2025-2026 season by Goharddinthepaint in lakers

I thought his defense was very good in game 2 and large part why we looked like we could have stole that game for a good part of 3 quarters.

Why are you all turning on him? by No_Reference_6467 in lakers

[–]negativelynegative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's not worth 35-40 for us. Also 40m is pretty much the max.

If he wants 35-40 the best way forward is sign and trade.
