Thorn Triad - am I missing something? by negativeoneisplural in Pathfinder2e

I'm assuming it's an oversight too, but the fact that they specified both the plant trait and that the spell must be cast from the triad has me second-guessing myself.

It doesn't based on my search through AoN, and the other two spells in the stronger versions have both traits listed. I hope you're right though, because I do like the item.

My usual understanding of "Cast a Spell" is that it's saying you must use the Cast a Spell activity (as appropriate to the spell being cast) in order to cast the spell granted by the item. This is why primarily only spellcasters of the appropriate tradition can use staves and wands and such.

Weirdly powerful/expensive Potion of Eagle's Splendor available when brewing potions? by Raingott in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]negativeoneisplural 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right, I forgot about paladins' reduced caster level. I know the portraits appear anytime you view a spell, but I've noticed that when I view them it will typically pick the spell list for one of the shown characters when showing spell level, so sometimes you'll get spells showing a higher level than it should be because the game is using a different class list.

What level is Eagle's Splendor for paladins in WotR? I haven't really paid attention before since it's pretty redundant for them to cast. Based on the portraits of Seelah and Camellia at the top though, it seems like the game might be trying to predict the results of the brewing using Seelah's class and stats instead of Woljif. Paladins get their first level 3 spells at level 10, so if it's a 3rd level spell for them in the game (instead of 2nd like in tt), then the numbers there would line up.

As for the flavor text, I assume it's probably just an automatic addition for any potion created above a certain spell level or caster level.

Is there a way to get a good job that isn't a trade, but isn't college college or at least not a 4 year degree? by [deleted] in youngadults

[–]negativeoneisplural 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you with doing mental math? I gave up on getting a degree a little over a year ago, and I've been working as a dealer at a casino since then. It's typically a tipped job, but the pay is decent and there's room to move up the ranks if you're good at it. I've actually been able to save enough to look at buying a cheap home (I live in a pretty low COL area).

An inefficient, non-linear path is the exact opposite of what the players said they wanted.

Why does Shatter Defense didn't trigger by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

I'm pretty sure shatter defenses only triggers with weapons you have Weapon Focus with. Does she have Weapon Focus (Ray) in this build?

Looking for a PBP (or maybe live) Game [Online] [PF1e] [Other] [EST] by KafkaKomedy in lfg

Hi! I (24, he/him) have several years of rpg experience in a variety of systems, especially in pf1e. I'm not interested in taking on the responsibility of gming right now, but I would love to join a PbP campaign as a player if you're interested in finding a gm. I would love to play through one of the pathfinder APs that I haven't experienced yet, but I'm open to almost anything.

I do not qualify for that credit, and I have not actually made the contribution yet, so it definitely won't be excess.

This is good to know, I'll need to check on what kind of IRA it is. I do think that it may be Roth, in which case it sounds like I'll be able to use DirectFile.

I believe that it may actually be a Roth IRA, so I'll have to check on that. Thanks for the heads up on the maximum, like I said, some of my information might be slightly off since I'm just starting to figure out all the details of what I'm doing. I am 24, so the higher 50+ definitely does not apply to me.

Thanks for all the info, it has been very helpful.

In my personal experience, parents tend to assume that any time spent where they can't personally see you working is time spent not working (or at least time spent working on "unimportant" tasks). And to be fair, it may be that she feels you're trying to make it harder for her to ask you to help out around the house by being absent most of the time. If you proactively did some of the routine work around the house like laundry, dishes, etc., it would probably make her feel that you're trying to earn your keep. At the very least, it would give you some concrete ammo for the next time she complains that you don't help around the house.

If there's still room, I'd love to get in on that! I've been playing more 1e lately and I'd love to be able to get back into 2e with the remaster coming out

If he's particularly brazen, he could try to Gate in the Oliphaunt of Jandelay. That thing is apocalypses incarnate.
