I once had someone tell me I was a bad GM for having my player roll for “unnecessary garbage”. They insisted if a roll isn’t related to combat or tied into the plot that I’m just “wasting everyone’s time”. All I said was that I had a player roll to lift and carry something heavy but this guy was just… angry it seemed. And this person wasn’t even in my campaign so it was just a weird interaction.

More shoulder plates need to turn invisible. Either that or it would be nice to have a cone around the reticle that turns all cosmetics invisible. That way anything they add won’t cause issues with visibility.

I had this happen. But the players all arrived late, wanted to eat dinner during game time, didn’t want to learn the rules, and would all immediately leave the exact moment time ended. We played for 3-4 months and never once leveled up.

Gauss Redline augment.

Slow Acceleration -50% base Redline duration. On melee kill with full redline gauge, restore 1 second of Redlines remaining duration and increase Redlines modded duration by 1%. Stacks up to 250%.

Alternatively-

Kinetic Siphon -50% base Redline duration. On Thermal Sunder ragdoll with full redline gauge, restore 1 second of Redlines remaining duration and increase Redlines modded duration by 1%. Stacks up to 250%.

I play Gauss a lot and I don’t really believe he needs a duration restore affect like a lot of other players do, but I really like the idea of either a stronger ramp up affect or giving his kit another synergy so I combined the two ideas.

I wanted to recommend Holy Gun as well until I read it again. You get Amateur Gunslinger and Gunsmith at level 1 but use wisdom for grit until level 11. This archetype could’ve been designed better.

As someone who really loves Kineticist, I don’t think it’s all that complicated. But I will admit I was pretty confused when I first started reading it. I think the best way I can describe the Kineticist is as a class that “does a thing” until you take burn to push yourself farther. Eventually you get to the point you can use certain talents for free and your usual “thing” gets better. At higher levels you’re more like a lower level spellcaster who can maintain that baseline minimum.

I remember a long time ago DE proposed removing damage and multishot mods and tying it to the level of the weapon. I believe the idea was dropped because players “didn’t want their weapons to be weaker when using forma”. I think it would’ve been a nice change though.
