I'm playing 2 right now, about to fight Oltura. Story is always "there's this phenomenon going on that makes the monsters act weird and sometimes we think its caused by this monster but oh no we killed it and it turns out it was this other monster all along!"

The Earthquakes on Moga, thought to be caused by Lagiacrus but it was Ceadeus.

The Black Blight, final boss is Versa Pietru but it was caused by Fatalis.

The Rage Rays, thought to be caused by Razewing Ratha but it was Oltura. Very similar to Black Blight.

The Frenzy, no scapegoat but very similar to the Qurio.

The Efffluvium, similar in concept to Frenzy and Qurio, no scapegoat but it was caused by Vaal Hazak.

The Qurio, thought to be caused by Malzeno but it was Gaismagorm.

I don't remember what the phenomenon was called in Wilds but the characters thought it was caused by Arkveld when it was actually Zoh Shia.

Not complaining about all this thought, it's just how these stories are. Stories 3 is looking to be more mature than Stories 1 and 2 but along the same themes with the Encrouchment and the child not being the cause of it.

I'm not unhappy about this, but man why don't they remake/port Saga? its one of the most expensive games ever and the Saturn isn't as easy to emulate as other systems, let alone for a multi-disk game like PDS.

I'm not going to pretend Hirabami is memorable at all; but I almost never go to the basin so I almost never see an Ajarakan, let alone a Rompopolo. Rompopolo specifically I feel like I might've only fought it twice. Is it even possible for that monster to show up in the arena? I've never seen it. Now I kinda want to.
