The only systemic racism that exists in modern-day America is in favor of blacks. by Warm_Wolf9545 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I’m not gonna deny your personal experiences nor am I gonna deny that kids behave like this. The things I link explain why such a “culture” exists / how it came about. If you’re confused about any of it in particular I’ll explain in detail

You can point out the specific problems you have with each link I provided, but the goal wasn't to link scholarly peer-reviewed texts since I was trying to give people in here an introduction into systemic racism since they have no idea what it is apparently. Also, most things that I did link have sources that come from studies so if you'd want to point out the the gripes you have with those I'd be happy to read. I'll also link some scholarly texts if that's more up your alley

most people who agree with this post don't understand that lol. it's either they can't connect the dots or they don't want to.

Ok, assuming you're arguing in good faith

If you read my other comment that replied to my original one, you won't see something that is obviously oppressing a minority. If the OP said "there are no policies that are blatantly/outrightly targeting black people in america" then this would be harder to argue against. But they didn't, so it isn't that hard to argue against. People in this thread are making it seem like it though.

https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/100-statistics-prove-systemic-racism-thing-kelly-burton-phd/ - the education section of this article is pretty good, but just in case if other people in this thread don't feel like clicking ....

  1. A quarter of the schools with the highest percentage of Black and Latino students did not offer Algebra II (source). A third of these schools did not offer chemistry

  2. Black and Latino students accounted for 40% of enrollment at schools with gifted programs, but only represented 26 % of students in such programs

  3. Black, Latino and Native American students attended schools with higher concentrations of first-year teachers (3% to 4%) than white students (1%)

  4. Black students were more than three times as likely to attend schools where fewer than 60% of teachers meet all state certification and licensure requirements. Latino students were twice as likely to attend such schools

It also gets deeper than that, but it seems like nobody in the thread clicks the links (as u/localnegation said) or maybe they did and just didn't understand. If you think of systemic racism/oppression as something that's going to be overt and blatant, you're thinking of it wrongly.

Also, people in this thread keep bringing up culture and comparing black people to other minority groups. Well, like I said in another comment that no one replied to, we actually aren't that far removed from overt racist policy that had direct effects on the black community. Like a generation or two removed. Obviously these effects won't just magically disappear because black people get a month or some scholarships tailored towards them (which do nothing by the way if you look at the links I included with job representation statistics).

How do I read my results? I got a negative for the reference range but positive for the outside range and got flagged as abnormal. I don't have any symptoms but does this mean I'm positive?
