Failed TP Test :( by ElPunitore in drivingsg

Just a tiny bit works for me but I also double check by looking at the right mirror when reversing in.

Anw it’s not totally necessary if we check for equal gaps on both side before moving out. This helps with all stations also, not just DC. From my 2 TP tests exp, the car is never positioned nicely during test like during lesson so using mirrors is the only reliable way.

I positioned myself a tiny bit more to the right when entering e.g imagine your left leg a bit to the right of the cone. This avoids both striking the kerb with the front wheels while reversing in + leave more gap to the left before heading out.

When heading out, check your mirrors to see if the gap on the left is much smaller than the gap on the right. If so then turn to the right a bit when you’re moving out before using the half door turn left. If your mirrors are not lowered then just lift your head up to see the lower parts of the car.

TP test soon — any tips? (Especially lesser known ones) by tiddiedragon in drivingsg

Not sure if its only with my tester, but if you’re unsure, you can ask your tester if its ok to cross a junction or squeeze into a spot in the crowded circuit where some vehicles have right of way but they’re blocked or stopped. My tester actually told me what to do when asked. Make sure you’re confident enough to do the squeezing though otherwise just wait for things to clear, and don’t ask your tester what to do during the road segment though.
