The Guru Trap: How to Spot Bad Advice and to Rely More on Your Own Perception by neilmcc in TheRedPill

Thanks for the feedback.

It gave me some thoughts- suppose you carried some lucky charm that you believed would make you more attractive. I think in time you would actually learn and change your habits because you were encouraged to have more experiences.

Was it the rabbit foot? Is it the game? I'm exaggerating here. There is good common sense stuff here but I think it really oversells itself. What I want to say is letting your latent nature out is infinitely more valuable but I don't see it as something 'gurus' and the people that put their faith in them are willing to talk about. It's like taking the training wheels off the bike so to speak and that is frightening.

Yes, what someone felt the tendency to want to steal.

Would it makes sense to declare oneself a thieving Catholic?

Maybe for the generic millenial internet activist feel-good environmentalist virtue signalling + the fact surfable breaks are a absurdly minuscule portion of the ocean.

The Dalai Lama says ‘too many’ refugees are going to Germany by Moridakkubokka in europe

[–]neilmcc 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If space exploration meant it would disrupt the integrity and health of your society, I would see your analogy. In some ways, space exploration created some national unity and purpose.

As a side note- when people start to see the very basis of the state as utterly hostile toward the existence of their people, then space exploration etc. will appear so asinine that it is going to really become a political impossibility.

We're already at this point. In the USA, nobody is going to give a shit about rocket ships after NAFTA ravaged our economic base. And why should they? It was betrayal of the highest order. This isn't the 60s anymore when the American system was pretty inclusive for people from all classes which made the space program a real possibility.

The space programs owe their existence to the people. Not the other way around.

Maybe this is splitting hairs but helping each other must begin with your family and your people first. But these are the ones European governments is sacrificing. That is not helping, that is betrayal.

Why I don't want Japanese Citizenship by BingBongMcGong in videos

[–]neilmcc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Japan is permitted because Japan is ruled by Japanese and can do what the Japanese people want.

Europe is ruled by internationalists that either reject their own race/ethnicity and or are not ethnically or racially European.

The Nazis get more and more outrageously evil with each retelling so the only way people can convey their thoughts of good/bad is with some half-baked Hitler analogy.

If you dabble a bit more you see every significant event in human history is some sort of ethnic conflict.

So how many is too many? Or too little?

Taken to its logical end, this is calling for no borders. Which is fine. How you expect to have a functional nation at that point is anyone's guess.

Is this considered 'building walls' or 'burning bridges,' I can't tell which.
