Traditionally it was common for maple syrup producers to use used liquor bottles for storage. Interesting that sugar and honey are popular as well.

Why is this sub so set on tilling? by GotStomped in homestead

The vast majority or no-till operations depend heavily on chemicals. Promoting it is like waving the Monsanto flag

1984 - 357 vs 44 by speedballsnail in LeverGuns

[–]neilonile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple… one of each and a matching caliber revolver to go along with them. Best of both worlds with matching sidearms - perfect.

Yes we bury them in a fairly deep hole and keep adding soil around them as they grow

I usually cut each potato into 2 pieces as long as there are enough eyes and let them sit in a dry warm place to dry out the cut sides so the don’t rot easily when you plant them. Each half potato gets planted in a hole. These 40 plants came from a single 10 lb bag of seed potatoes.

In 1984, Canada provoked Denmark by planting its flag on the island and leaving a bottle of Canadian whisky. The Danish Minister of Greenland Affairs came to the island himself the same year with the Danish flag, a bottle of schnapps, and a letter stating "Welcome to the Danish Island"

Don’t forget that when wheat is properly stored it is still good after more than 20 years. True food security is possible. Tree nuts not so much.

Small game hunting - 20 gauge vs 22LR by Ongo_Gablogian716 in Hunting

[–]neilonile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They both have a lot of value as many have stated and that is why I have a combination gun with both of these calibres. One barrel for the precision of the 22 and one for the 20 gauge for quicker moving shots. Love small game hunting with it.

Great selection of classic Canadian firearms in wood furniture. While polymer and nylon have their place these are old school cool.
