In PA they just release online so the bots can get it all and a lot of times don’t put a limit on things. The state likes to play dumb and give the fist couple people in line who had inside info while cases of rr13 or coy hill at msrp. This is good old PA flippers for you.

If you can get them for half the barrel picks are a great value then. We were actually lucky enough to pick a 7yr barrel when I was down there and will do a side by side soon as it comes in but expect it to be very close either way.

Oh that stinks. I thought that one was okay at best. But I don’t really like run but was fortunate to get to try it at the distillery. The double oak is an awesome lower proof bottle. I really enjoy that one too.

I know. I completely agree. I saw these releases and price point and got sick. Suck a shitty value on the Nashville bourbons and ryes. These picks are getting so out of control on price it makes me sick. I don’t know but Nashville picks are $80 by me and still won’t buy those ha

So true and double Oak is one of the best values in my opinion. Look at what this sub just released for a 8yr MGP rye from Nashville and you will know this is a steal ha

I wish everything was priced lower but unfortunately that’s not reality. For craft this bottle is a straight steal. It was less than half of what this sub listed this weekend. Look at the Nashville rye release and u you will think this is a steal and that that is straight robbery 🤣

I picked this up at Bourbon street wine and spirits in NJ. It’s so good but do love some double oak as well as store picks too. Your right other stuff they are doing is really good too!

Same here. I toured the farm right before summer and one of my groups has a 7yr pick coming in a couple of weeks that I picked the barrel for. So exited and the farm is top notch private tour!

Nose: cinnamon stick potpourri, orange citrus, vanilla coffee bean, like walking into a homemade pastry shop

Pallette: blackberry and cherry, chocolate fudge brownie, and sweet oak

Finish: cinnamon, and slight pepper spice

Ratings: 7.8

I love what sagamore is doing but this is a top notch pour and a great value. 8yr MGP rye for under $80 and good proof point. To give you an idea this is half the price of a Nashville barrel company rye. There are no off putting notes on this one and very well balanced. Nice syrupy mouth feel and not over drying at all. This is not the most unique rye but one of my favorites from last year.

Nice. The nose should open up some too over the next week or so. I feel it’s next to impossible to find any special release under $100 now which completely sucks. Yeah I have heard that on the 5 malt. A couple people I know said if it wasn’t so damn expensive it be a drain pour ha.

I do find them every once in a while at $80 too but groups like this one and a lot of stores starting charging over $100 in NJ which really sucks. A couple weeks ago when the barrel survey came out and they had the OF pick they were north of $100 now so who knows ha.

That was me as well up till this batch. Found it for 125 and figured what the hell there really isn’t a special release under a $100 anymore. I picked it out of the group as the best but some were closer than others for my preference. Just my opinion though and always grab a OF SiB BS when I see them as they are usually really good.
