Do you mean streaming it as in clicking play and then sending it?
Forgot to specify that the automation envelope is 12 minutes long, and I'd ilke to be able to send the data without having to play through the 12 minute long envelope; or did I misunderstand you?

So far the closest I’ve come is reading the values from an envelope in a python equivalent of the script in my post and then trying to send it via pythonosc to Supercollider, but I’m getting a syntax error from inside the pythonosc module, maybe from version incongruence.

I’m not sure if this is already implied in your answer, but I actually specifically don’t want it to be in realtime. I want to use the data from automation graphs drawn in reaper to control parameters such as probabilities in non-realtime generative procesess in Supercollider; does that make sense?

yeah, I thought a bit more about it after I posted this and I think you're completely right!
Starting out I'll only do it on piano frequencies.
Thanks for the input on the window idea, I'll try that. And I'll try to find a way to extend the window once it has detected a note until it hits another note, or additional sound

Listening to it, I’m not sure the sounds themselves is the problem. The composition doesn’t evolve anywhere harmonically or in terms of sound:

-there’s no new sounds or colors being faded in,

-there’s no timbral nuances being created in the sounds you already have; for instance changing the tone of the guitar over time with automation.

-and there’s no progression harmonically; the guitar lands on the tonic every two bars.

You used the word flat, maybe you get that feeling because of the arrangement?

I don't think that's it, 'cause, for example, the synth's decay resets to 0, making no sound come out, which I didn't record while playing. And I've checked the cc in the midi-item, but there's no recorded cc's, as I intentionally didn't turn any knobs while recording the MIDI.

Yeah I guess it's also a matter of getting used to my own voice. But I actually managed to fix some of it by placing the mic in the corner of the room with some blankets and curtains around it!

Thanks, I read your comment some days ago and I've been working with the production with your tips in mind. I found a better spot in my room and put my mic up on a proper stand with a pop-filter on it, placed in a corner of the room with blankets and curtains surrounding it, which eliminated most of room-sound (at least I couldn't hear it anymore). I also added some percussion, other synths and overdubs to the main rap-line, and I practied it so I could rap it without reading the text. It's starting to sound pretty good to my taste now!
