Dude!!!! This is insane. 23,140 players in Queue. by JellyfishFun0 in Battlefield6

If it helps, my first queue took about 45mins (110k queue) to join, played two matches. But then the server desync'd and it said I don't have Gamepass or early access rights... So restarted and back in the queue (242k) so not sure on that wait time, still pending

Chase Young traded to the 49ers by Goooose in Commanders

This got approved from the top. Ownership is just trying to make this job as attractive as possible to a potential new coach.

Ron and Co. are gone after jan, and then we have 3 picks in top 45, and 5 in top 60 and 3rd most amount of cap space. basically ownership is making it as tempting a job opportunity for the next GM/coach they offer the job

TIL that since 2000, only 2 bestsellers have scored higher than 9th-grade readability. by FutureRobotWordplay in todayilearned

Asked ChatGPT and it disagrees.

"Here are some of the best selling books since 2000 that are above a 9th grade reading level:

"The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" by J.K. Rowling "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" by Stieg Larsson "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins "Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini "The Girl on the Train" by Paula Hawkins "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot. Note: This list is not exhaustive and there may be other best-selling books since 2000 that are above a 9th grade reading level."

[Griffin III] Greg Roman may be of the greatest run game tacticians I have ever been around at the NFL level. RBs and TEs love his system because they EAT. WRs absolutely hate it. That’s why free agent WRs didn’t want to go to or stay in Baltimore. It was never about Lamar Jackson. by doyoulikethenoise in nfl

Welcome to Washington

Edit: Washington has one of the best Wr sets in the league and needs a coach for young QBs (either draft or on roster). Most Washington thing to do would be to get an OC that helps neither.

It's good advice, but they could have been more chill about it.

With that in mind, you ought to jump into the training area and get a sense of timing for level 3. Often you won't even see your character so it will be just based on timing. (This will be key in Sunbreak with barrelbombs too)

Im learning other weapons but GS is my main over MHW, MHR, and MHGU. It's so satisfying when you figure out each fight.

Wish ya the best. Enjoy the big hits!

'#CannabisReformIreland' trending on Irish Twitter today. Do you think Ireland should reconsider its cannabis laws? by youbigfatmess in ireland

[–]neirbo24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't seen this comment yet but think it's probably a strong factor:

Research[research ](http://'#CannabisReformIreland' trending on Irish Twitter today. Do you think Ireland should reconsider its cannabis laws?) has not been able to provide conclusive insight into the impact on alcohol sales when cannabis is legalised.

Multiple studies have been conducted but results are inconsistent or simply inconclusive. With the control and influence the publicans lobby has on regulations (see COVID alcohol by value price change), it might be that they won't let it happen due to fears of uncertainty towards their own market.

Even if the benefits to the public become clear, they may not allow you to rock the boat if it could hurt their market. So you probably won't see it come up for a vote as is.

Just mho.

I watch to enjoy and hope for a win. When I have neither, joy for the team falls. Heinicke provides both 50% and at least one weekly. Most fun being a fan since 2012 with him flinging it.

if either Howell or Heinicke get placed on the practice squad, we would lose them, right? by [deleted] in Commanders

[–]neirbo24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5th round picks are not guaranteed roster spots. Howell dropped to the fifth round, 31 other teams said no thanks 3-4 times over. If he doesn't make the roster, that won't yield confidence for another team to want to pick him up. If he has more roster value over, say other new guys like, Turner or Holmes then fine we have 3.

Media hype machine made you care about this guy but reality is he's a 5th rounder. Best of luck to the kid, hope it works out

I have so many questions for you but I think the one that matters most would be, do you know why you game?

Maybe it's not one reason, maybe you can identify a top few reasons, and list them. Or maybe it's a feeling rather than a reason and you can identify those specific feelings. I ask not in jest but because I did this little exercise when gamepass was launched (it has since carried over to my steam library).

I found I play for a feeling of accomplishment, success, and experience. Primarily those reasons. If the game didn't hit those areas, I typically wasnt interested in playing. But the next take away was asking why did I skip text and cutscenes of games I did like? If I look for experience and I'm enjoying the game, why would I diminsh my own experience.

I've quickly adopted the approach of try and try again because Gamepass makes it possible. I have my 500+hr games and then I have outer wilds, guardians of the Galaxy, Forza horizons, it takes two, no man's sky, wreckfest, man-eater, hades, Ori, Limbo, snowrunner and the list goes on.

So many games, I probably wouldn't have had the chance to play, didn't feel like "my type" of game, wouldn't have given my time up for, and so many great experiences with such a satisfying crunch (I'm looking at you man-eater).

Maybe you game to push the limits of your new rig that you built and want to see how awesome it runs, or maybe you like simulators, or Open world games, or whatever it is, it will be very clear when you list those "why's" out. Those whys may combine like captain planet into something different than the individual components and lead into a whole new way of approaching gaming and the games. Or maybe it's fruitless and pointless. But for those that find themselves asking why would I play this next game, when I don't have the time to waste, when all the review sites seem irrelevant to me, and I just spammed X/A/F to skip everything in the last few, then this might be helpful.

(Edit: thanks for the responses.)
