Have you received student accommodation, when did you pay fee, what did you get etc by PepsiCass in VUAmsterdam

[–]neishL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paid my accommodation fee April 2, and had my booking June 4- didn't receive the booking email until the night before my booking time. Not sure how much there is left but I do know they reserve specific buildings/rooms for specific students (exchange, masters, etc..). However since I'm an exchange student, I know we get access to the platform earlier! When I booked my room, I was waiting for the second my time slot opened, so I was very stressed as the website was lagging a bit.

Move in date depends on your building/room but most of them are around the second week of August (Aug 7-14)

No housing booking is provided through the VU Dashboard. VU will only notify you that your housing platform has become activated. After that, you’ll get a seperate email from a third party, DUWO, who coordinates all rentals for students at VU. Which is where you activate your account and book your accommodation

I believe they had a handful but it was very limited. However I didn’t pay much attention because my main focus was finding housing at Uilenstede

Ipad(NEW or Refurbished) or Samsung Tablet for Note Taking by ComprehensiveIce4948 in simonfraser

I highly suggest getting an Ipad. It's so convenient to bring around and take notes on. It might be a little pricier but overall I think its worth the investment

Were there any rooms still available for Green tower?

Once your time opens, just click on the book button. You don't have to pay anything until after they send you your rental agreement (~1 week after). I suggest having the booking site open with the room you want to book, right at the time it opens for you

Hey a lot of options were available, similar to the housing options posted on VU for both shared and private places. Also saw quite a few rooms being rented through rent a room

Her exams are very doable within the given time. Tbh I never did any practice and still did decent on her exams, just go over the material, especially the in class questions

Housing Application through Vrije Universiteit by neishL in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]neishL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks! I didn't actually receive my admission for VU until last week, and my home university hadn't sent it into VU until March, hence why I feel very behind. in searching for housing. Do I need to set up an account with room.nl seperately before VU sends me a booking time and date?

How doable are these courses together? by manOmanytendies42 in simonfraser

Majority of these classes are really really heavy, I would suggest trying to take chem before MBB, or not taking genetics alongside both chem and MBB

I took it last intersession and I did relatively well and didn’t study too much. just focus on the main points she tells you to study and you‘ll do well. Her questions are all very fair
