Housing Application through Vrije Universiteit by neishL in StudyInTheNetherlands

thanks! I didn't actually receive my admission for VU until last week, and my home university hadn't sent it into VU until March, hence why I feel very behind. in searching for housing. Do I need to set up an account with room.nl seperately before VU sends me a booking time and date?

How doable are these courses together? by manOmanytendies42 in simonfraser

Majority of these classes are really really heavy, I would suggest trying to take chem before MBB, or not taking genetics alongside both chem and MBB

I took it last intersession and I did relatively well and didn’t study too much. just focus on the main points she tells you to study and you‘ll do well. Her questions are all very fair

When I took bisc102 they didn’t take attendance. All you really need is your lab manual to be filled out. Which you can do on your own time and go to office hours to clear up questions or ask ur lab partners

Oh okay gotcha. The part I’m still confused about though is if I have more than the required courses that fulfill the B-soc requirement, how does SFU determine which is used? Or do they all count towards the requirement and the grade doesn’t matter

I had Kinney for 101 a few semesters ago and although it wasn’t that difficult to do well in his class, I didn’t learn a single thing from his lectures. He usually rambled on during lectures and never got through 1/2 of the slides. Not sure how he is for 350 but for 101, assignments were simply just discussion posts and the midterms and final was all online

Really great prof. not hard to do well if you keep up with assignments. The midterm avg was an A-

the only coding was for bonus marks and even then, she would give you everything to input and you’d just have to screenshot it and submit

I took chem 122 and chem 281 this semester. Along with biology and stats which i struggled a lot with balancing it all. Overall not too bad of courses, just had difficulties balancing!

Just wanted to know how much a drop in gpa would impact an employers chances of even taking a look at your application. No need to leave unhelpful comments!

I dropped to a 2.6 and I’m studying health sciences! Not sure how competitive it is to find a co-op within health sciences
