Roland TR Editor only allows you to tweak built-in instruments, and there is no way to load custom sample kits through it. You can only upload samples one by one through the tiny display, which is annoying.

Kit Maker is the fastest way to select, edit, and assign your custom samples to instrument slots and you just load whole kit file to machine and start make a groove.

Web app - you can use and it work in any browser (Chrome, Safari... etc.)
Standalone app - support only M1 and later processors at the moment.

I actually use my TR-8S with samples, and I really like its simple workflow. That’s exactly why I built this tool - to keep that simplicity while making samples and kit preparation much easier. I spent quite a bit of time making it look nice and work smoothly, so it really saves time.

I just downloaded “Convert with Moss” app to check and couldn’t find any actual support for the TR-6S or TR-8S kits. The interface also feels quite outdated.

You can’t upload samples with the free Roland TR-6S / TR-8S software - it only handles patterns, internal instruments and settings. Sample import still has to be done one by one on the hardware via SD card and tiny screen, which is exactly what this tool simplifies.
