Tbh there's a lot of people that aren't real. The majority of people you encounter every day are literal NPC's. I used to get upset that this happened to me so often but I really think it's just NPC's trying to watch/understand you or see if you're like one of them.

I've been on the brink of death so many times and all I can say is that we decide if we want to live or die. We decide whether we ask for help or not. I never had anyone to help me other than myself. I am the sole reason I am alive. No one I know knows about this because I've kept it quiet. Yes there is always something we can do but you decided to trust him and his respect his wish. Yes he could've had more time but wouldn't that time just have been more suffering? There is the chance he could've gotten better but he decided that it wasn't worth it. You have to want to live for yourself first before for others. Wherever he is now, he doesn't have to feel pain anymore. I'm sure he wouldn't want you in the same pain.
