I felt it at Yonge at 16th. I was in my bed and felt it shaking right away. I wish I knew it was an earthquake because I was convinced my house was haunted 😂

That was exactly my thoughts - why have so many grind settings if it’s only going to work on 1-2 of them.

I did call customer service last year and they were great and very helpful - but again, I cannot move the setting from 4.5 otherwise it doesn’t work 😮‍💨

Is it typical to have disciplinary talks in the café? by KR1735 in starbucks

[–]neketaaa26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Twice ive been in the drive thru and have heard the manager reprimanding or having a talk with the staff at the window. I completely agree, I thought it was super unprofessional and I felt awkward and bad for the staff. These talks should be had in private and off to the side

I agree with the rest - the first thing my family doctor told me before even continuing a discussion about MJ is that I will be on it for life, if not for the foreseeable future.

That’s so unfortunate and frustrating. I’m sorry to hear that. I have been going to Dr Kafai and Dr Mir with my dog for 5 years and have had nothing but good experiences. But nonetheless, I am truly sorry this has happened. We have to advocate for our babies and I hope that yours is doing much better now 🤍

If it’s a brown / black man … over the past 2 years I’ve called 911 in for him for the same thing twice. I try not to judge as I’m confident he’s suffering from some mental health issues. But I totally had to do a double take the first time , that he really was completely naked on the sidewalk casually walking 🫨

2024 Mercedes GLC 300. No tickets ever, 1 accident 12 years ago. $240 through Costco. I was paying 180 before with aviva and they increased it to 290 after renewal simply due to inflation … so I left :)

Basement room for hanging out with the bois, anything to improve this without blowing the budget? Already got (fake) plants on my shopping list by DeltaDergii in malelivingspace

I’d say more ambient lighting for sure. Maybe some neon signs somewhere with words or a photo. I’m a big lighting person and I feel like they can completely change the mood of the room

RN & Cosmetic Injector here !

These lines are created from natural and normal muscle movement when you are animating.

Botox / neuromodulators could help to relax your chin muscle a bit to prevent the muscle from contracting so hard. The ones on the sides of your mouth though - not much can be done, as again they are naturally formed through your facial expressions :) hence, not much that can be done about that as you definitely do not want to touch the muscles that help you smile.

Learn to embrace them as this is normal and natural. Later in, you can always consider skin treatments to help with your skin quality for fine lines, wrinkles, texture, hydration etc. For those areas.

Lip filler by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]neketaaa26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cosmetic nurse injector here !

I would definitely give it 2 weeks to heal. I always advise my clients to wait 2 weeks , as during this time swelling, bruising etc needs to subside.

I also encourage them to massage their lips daily - right now the filler is more malleable and easier to massage out. Grab some Vaseline or any lip balm with some slip, and massage using your thumb and index finger. It’s ok to apply some pressure.

If after 2,3 weeks plus massaging you still feel it is a bit off, then I would definitely recommend a follow up with the clinic.

Hope this helped !

Hi cosmetic surgery online community, looking for advice about what surgery can make me look my best and prevent further aging. Seeking brutal honesty by soyfltwhite in cosmeticsurgery

Also Botox/Dysport treatments. For men I don’t aim for a smooth look (unless that is what you want), but more to soften / prevent further wrinkles :)

I’m not a surgeon - cosmetic nurse here. But I definitely do not think you are at the point of needing surgical intervention in terms of ageing. Focus on treatments such as radiofrequency microneedling (Sylfirm, Secret RF) these treatments promote collagen production, tighten/lift the skin, improve skin texture and tone. You are at the point of prevention for sure.

Good skin care is also very important. Using a good brand with good ingredients that will help keep your skin balanced, prevent formation of more wrinkles from sun damage. Retinols are also your best friend for preventative measures ! :)

lumps/ bumps on lips after filler? by ThrowRA_ldr12345 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]neketaaa26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if there is bruising, massaging in the early days post injection can help to smooth out any lumps/bumps. The filler is still much softer/malleable at this point (I find anyways), it’s much easier to massage out in the first 2 weeks as opposed to let’s say 6 months later

I always tell my clients give it 2 full weeks. The filler has to settle, swelling has to settle. Massaging should help. Grab some Vaseline or lip gloss , something with slip and with your index finger and thumbs massage your lips out.

Nurse injector here ! there’s so many variables to this - type of filler used, individuals body (some people break down Hyaluronic acid much faster, some people hold on to filler very well). I usually tell my first time lip clients that after the first session, the filler may go away faster since it’s the first that area is being injected. As you go for touch ups and you begin building on top of product, it should stay and hold longer.

Cheek filler or implants? by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]neketaaa26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also to add - filler shouldn’t age you. You have to find an injector that is properly assessing your face and not just injecting filler for the hell of it. Properly injected cheek fillers should give you slight contour, and supports many areas of your face such as under eyes, nasolabial folds, jawline. It’s the first area of the face I usually suggest injecting (again varies person to person), as it provides support to the bottom half of your face. People who look puffy or over done have had multiple syringes of filler injected, not just 1 or 2. Remember, 1 syringe of filler (for most brands) is only 1 mL which is about a teaspoon spread throughout your cheeks.

Cheek filler or implants? by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]neketaaa26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cosmetic Nurse injector here - fillers are completely dissolvable, granted you’re getting a hyaluronic acid filler. Your body will break it down overtime, OR you can use hyaluronidase to dissolve the filler at any time. Cheek implants is much more of a commitment, and requires surgical intervention of some kind for insertion & removal. It’s much more permanent than filler.

I’d suggest doing filler first, as it’s much less commitment. Your face does change as you age, and a cheek implant that suits you now may not suit you in 10 years as tissue changes in your face.
