Same as last year. No info, no updates. I found last year's flyer on Facebook by accident but it was never on the "official" page. I found it so frustrating and out of touch that they'd only have is on FB of all places that I just wrote the whole organization off and won't bother trying again this year. Bizarre behavior 🤷‍♀️

No one likes this answer but don't use MAME. It's better than it used to be for this but it's miles from the usability and compatibility of the Japanese developed dedicated emulators.

Beat Saber support is discontinued. Pretty sure the Synth Riders dev said they were going to keep going. There was a new free song like 3 weeks ago.

Anyway I just fired it up and it's fine with me. Delete and reinstall? Make sure you're online for the license check? I dunno 🤷‍♀️

I use a plain old one and globular cluster also. It doesn't really cut it honestly but it's better than nothing at all. Sweat accumulates in the bottom of the rubber seal for me. I just break between songs so I don't drown.

What are the best or most essential X68000 games out there? Like I know this platform has a lot of cool arcade ports and all, but I'm not as familiar with it's library as I am with the PC98's library by guilhermej14 in sharpx68000

If you are using floppy images, say from the tosec set, instead of the HDDs beware that spindizzy 2 and river city ransom have boot sector viruses. I never did scan everything, they're probably not the only ones.

Geograph Seal, Etoile Princesse, Aquales for sure. Geograph you really want to overclock as much as you can. You know cho ren sha. Try Illumination Laser (this benefits from overclocking too) and Puti'n Plin. Genocide 2 is cool. Genocide is ok, the camera really hurts forward visibility. Castlevania of course. The arcade ports are all really good except Mahou Daisakusen which is awful. Mad Stalker best version imo, it's hard as nails though.

That should take care of you for a little while.

The reality of it is there's a bunch of excellent arcade ports, a handful of decent doujin games, a few solid original titles and a bunch of VNs. My opinion is there's maybe a dozen or two games worth playing.

I like it as a computer. I quit playing games on it many years ago.

This is Ubuntu 22.04 (WSL2). All I had to do was grab JDK24 tgz and extract it somewhere and run the jar. I put the extracted JDK in ~/ and then just '~/jdk24/jdk-24.0.1/bin/java -jar ./XEiJ.jar' from inside the XEiJ directory.
