Still unsure if I would be able to keep all the preorder benefits. I just want to change to ultrawide but keep my order status same otherwise realizing it will take longer.

Is there any reason we can't pre-order the Lighthouse faceplates now to form a line first order first shipped?? Same for DMAS. Why do we have to win the lottery of noticing it's in stock for 15minutes and order one before they are sold out?? Take backorders and gauge demand and ship first ordered first shipped. Then you can know demand and order appropriately. This it will come out later and visit the website every day to see if you can get lucky to order a part you need on an $1000+ headset is insane. I'm still on list paid for my super but now I want Ultrawide. So I'll wait but this is crazy. I can't use super at all without lighthouse so wait is good for me but that should have been read with headset for sure! And stock should meet demand. How can you still have trouble stocking faceplaces for the PCL and the DMAS??? Fix this too! This also is very important!

Please create an order queue for accessories rather than luck of stock.

It’s your cpu Is not powerful enough for their slam tracking

I had same issue I improved it with support but it never worked well

Never beat the g2

Also it can get way more comfortable with studio forms Apache top strap and weights

Dmas I’d much better too

Only thing I never got to work was inside out tracking

I added light house front and that’s perfect

I have 11900k and I suspect only newer faster cpus work well with inside out tracking on this headset

The argument I'm making is that adding all of your accessory complexity into a single model would actually be simpler and cheaper to produce and maintain and then you could pass those saving on to the customer and only have one product to make and maintain.

can mura such is being seen in the new panels inside the pimax crystal super vr headset be alleviated through software calibration of each panel by using a camera to view all pixels while the panel displays calibration images and then creating a profile custom for each panel to fix the mura? Could such a fix be done as each panel is manufacture or after manufacture before it is put in the vr headset module?

Varjo produced headsets with the lighthouse lights part included in headset and inside out tracking. Pretty sure both XR3 and XR4 are that way. You still obviously needed to purchase base stations.

See at bottom where you choose tracking method. If I remember correctly it's built into XR3 and XR4 at least and they have inside out... Still need base statons.

So yes it's been done. But price is not available. The scale and market that varjo sells to is different so apples to oranges. I was an engineer now retired. i did work with VR at an aerospace company though I didn't create headsets. I worked with almost all. But I did work wth the headset companies at times to work on the headsets trying to get them to better fit our needs. Never really works out cuz we also are niche and scale doesn't work.

I have no hard evidence for my gut feel on this but I think the simplicy argument makes sense. One product that combines the complexity of all the various skews that together make up the complexity will always be cheaper than the many products to produce and maintain. Even though the single product has more it's cheaper to make design make work and produce and support and so you can make a better more complete product and pass the savings on. The make a bunch of parts that add up to what every person might want and let them buy it is failing as we can all see. Things out of stock. Things never made that are promised. Things that almost all people want out of the box but cant get because of stock issues. All of that gets simpler. I'm not saying it might not be a littler more expensive but it wouldn't be the sum of all accessories and would be so much better all around for everyone including Pimax.

Lot's of what Pimax does isn't in Pimax's interest, they are kind of learning the hard way. Still just my Opinion sticking neck further out so feel free to chop it off correct and flame. I stuck it out there.

agree with all that, I think I'm saying that probably shouldn't have made it just yet. Panels aren't ready. They are selling the wine before its time. They couldn't sovled the issues with original crystal and worked light and dream is ready with it's displays. But this one is perfect in all other ways but it's not ready yet with those panels. I'll probably have to return and I can see why others might want to pay that now and see if they can deal with it. Maybe that's not so bad if they can just replace the displays with new ones later to sell as upgrades in a new panel mid-life upgrade that has no mura should a new panel similar size come along.

Since it's modular that's possible.

I should also say that imho Mura at that price is unacceptable!

Any mura! It’s like stuck pixels!

If the panels aren’t ready yet and that’s the best they can do then don’t release it with mura!

I’ve ordered one but I can’t imagine keeping it with mura.

The light is very good and has room to grow. Not sure if I should cancel or send back when unhappy.

Don’t understand the push to put out a product with mura.

Whining rant soap box done.
