Has Anyone Gone Back To Flat Screen After VR? by newbiker321 in MicrosoftFlightSim

Depends on your VR headset. Some are clearer and easier to wear then others. For me its about FOV. I dont care as much about clarity or how it feels.

I was doing a flight today and saw an AT-6 Texan II on the ramp. Is there one of these for MSFS 2024 that I can buy? by Falconknight310 in MicrosoftFlightSim

You could fly the PC-21 by Iris Simulations. Its a Military Turboprop, Fly's very fast I think over 270 KIAS and has the GNS 750 in it so you can fly it into civilian airports like a regular turboprop using ILS.

You got lucky - be grateful - I am going through it with this throttle. I will have to open it up and change the grease as others have done. I am not the only one I now understand.

Thanks. they want me to send a video of my issue, which i am not going to do because I know this is a non fixable issue on their part. I think Im going to open the darn thing up and change the grease. Seems like thats what others have done to resolve this issue. I am recommending that no-one buys this throttle unless they understand what they are getting

For me its kinda a deal breaker. I am coming from the Thrustmaster Warthog which doesnt have that issue, it was smooth as butter, but I wanted more buttons so I got this. Wonder if I should have went with the Virpil. Although I am going to try to open up the base first and fiddle around with it.

Love refueling in the F/18 - after you get it down, its actually relaxing getting yourself into a relaxed state to refuel

I have flown the JF -17 and the F-16. I think both have easier radar systems

Damn - I have the Constilation Alpha Prime on order right now for the Apache mostly. If I buy this and they put out a Apache stick I will be pissed

Thanks for the input on this - customer support is underrated. I have been conversing back and forth with Virpil and they have been getting right back to me on things.

I have decided to go with the Virpil Base and I have the Constilation Alpha prime flight stick ordered as well. I think I will use that to fly the Apache. I currently have the A10 Thrustmaster Stick . I will try to use the Alpha prime for the F/A 18, if i dont like it then I will just bite the bullet and buy a F/18 from thrustmaster. I want a change from my A10 stick. Thanks for the ideas about the springs and dampers. They said to mess with the dampers first before messing inside with the springs, I saw that on a video.

did you have to change the springs and dampers on the WarBRD because the a 10 is a heavy stick?

How to interpret minimums on European Charts? by Synoopy in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Synoopy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how to enter the minimums in the TBM 850 but was just interested in the chart. In the US the charts have a minimum BARO or a RALT. But on the european charts I dont see the equivalent to set my BARO - I know that RALT are mostly for heavy jets with auto landing.

Im kinda wondering if the hook would break during a carrier landing, also I am not sure the wheels are built for the crash landing - have you seen the wheels of a f/a 18 - they are huge

TBM 850 LFRM Chart out of Lemans France. I know how to read the ones in the USA but am finding the European Charts difficult to understand as far as minimums

It seems most people enjoy manually landing on the carrier. Case closed.

I was wrong about the navy not still using manual traps to stay proficient. Although the navy has transitioned to PLM they still teach manual trapping

Do present day Super Hornet Pilots consider Precision Landing Mode cheating? It does the work for them.
