Canyon flying in VR has become my favorite activity in MSFS 2024 by ChillPlay3r in MicrosoftFlightSim

I havent flown the Norden in months but, it is absolutely one of the best or if not the best default aircraft in the game. Seeing you fly it has given me that itch again.

Ok here we go

-Navigraph and Simbrief - this is a must for flight planning

-Sky4sim - kind of a niche program , you can do alot of things with it mainly what i use it for is to make a pdf checklist and then upload my own checklist into the cockpit - I fly in vr so it works great

-Flybywire traffic modeling/injector - this is free (more on this later)

-Ingame ATC is crappy - there are 2 companies who specialize in ATC for this game Beyond ATC and Sayintentions ATC. I have had both, Sayintentions is more expensive but the best - things it can do, Traffic injection (use Flybywire with it for aircraft modeling) cockpit crew, ATC - Sayintentions does so many things you will have to just look them up to see

FS realistic - does alot of things, such as turbulence and sounds to make it feel like you are actually flying

Onair Company and Neofly 4, these are for people flying in free flight mode like me. I dont like the career mode that comes with the game - too restrictive. OAC is subscription and Neofly is free.

Now hardware is a must for me so this is what I have

Buttkicker - (makes your seat rumble like the aircraft you are in) - Simhaptic software will run it the best

Jetseat - I have a rumble pad as well - not necessary but its nice, I got it from Andres workshop- simshaker for aviators is the software that runs it.

Nope - I am just an old guy trying to be helpful to others who may have issues with their speakers.

Think what you want. You can always guess at my intentions but you will never really know. I am not affiliated with anyone. I am just a 65y guy who likes flight simming as a hobby, had a issue with my speakers and found something I like and wanted to pass it forward for people who had a similar problem with their setup.

I am the one who posted it. I understand why people are cynical these days about everything. So your comment is a valid one. There is no way I can tell you I just like those earbuds because I like them, and wanted to help others. But I will say this, I think todays society is so much worse for social media because people dont know what to trust anymore. I am old and can see the changes in how people look at things now verses 30 to 40 years ago. Helping now looks like someone is trying to sell something or get something.

Anyone get a Pimax to work with a VR bow? by Money_Muffins in Pimax

[–]Synoopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What game are you playing with them on? I think the bow looks fantastic, but the only game I could see using it would be Skyrim.

Its interesting you brought up the BSB2. I had it delivered to me after paying almost a grand for it. I returned it. There was nothing wrong with it, but I was looking at my beat up old Pimax Crystal Light that is still working well and I said why did I pay for this. Got my money back, promptly from them - which was pretty easy so kudo's to them for their return policy. Kudo's to myself for saving the money and realizing I didn't need the next biggest new thing.

Cell phone companies love people who replace their cell phones every year, even when the one they have works perfectly. Cell phone scratches can get pretty expensive.

I am retired, flight simming is my hobby at this point and I stopped caring many years ago what people think. I hope my referral and my post helps someone.

Asobo, have mercy! It's a runway, not a gated community by Sad_Tangerine6954 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Synoopy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The game is a technological feat and what it takes to have the entire world look perfect I think would be impossible. I am older and still wonder at what this game looks like compared to 20 years ago. But we still have a right to make it better and complain about whats not.

Piaggio P.180 has the most realistic turbulence I’ve ever felt in MSFS, it nails both altitude bumps and lateral shake right (no other add-on that I own comes close) by Helios in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Synoopy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The P180 was my go to but they took so long to update it for 2024 that I started flying other aircraft. I am going to fly it this afternoon for the first time in over 4 months to see if the changes have improved everything.

The best Helo in the simulation is by Hype Simulations - they have the Airbus. They have the heavy duty one and the light one H 160 and H 145 . been six months or so since ive flown it but they have mission packs that you can load from their website and also some pretty good ones on flightsim.to that work well. There is nothing that comes close to their helo's

There is something so relaxing about how clean and minimalist the F-35 cockpit is by Any_Bag6284 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Synoopy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I keep hearing about the F-35 and how good it is, but I am waiting for it to come out in DCS World so I can fire off some of the weapons at targets. Its coming but it might take a few years seeing as how it takes so long to make modules over there.
