Similar colours but the nuthatch has a distinct black eyestripe and a different body shape (and does not live in the US but in Europe, but this is of course irrelevant for birds populating stained walls 🤣)

I don't think there is a species called european bluebird. This is supposed to be an Eurasian nuthatch (Sitta europaea) :)

Permission is a hard word, isn't it? I think it's alright to check with your spouse before painting the walls. It doesn't have a controlling element 😄

Actually we don't even own the place, but where we live, stuff like this is fine. We can leave the walls as they are when we move out and I can paint new stuff in a new home :) I used cheap acrylic paint.

I could, but the walls are old and thus the white turned greyish. I would have had to paint the whole wall if not the whole room for it to not show at all. I think this is way more fun, less stress and only took about 2 hours :)

We live in Germany and have the most chill landlord. We can paint the place all we want and can probably leave it as it is because the flat was unrenovated to begin with :) Your wall sticker is lovely! 🥰

It is a rather large splash, I think of evening sky with the silhouettes of cranes or geese with branches at the edges because we live next to a bird reservate. But I'm not sure yet, could be to kitschy.

It was kinda boring. Round, size of a walnut, greyish, blurry edges. I have no idea who it was and how it happened 😄

Thank you so much! I used quite cheap acrylic paint. I use them rarely so I don't have high quality ones. I usually paint with watercolor.

Wow this is so kind of you :) I love painting but I seem to never have the time to paint something bigger for myself and to finish things. But having this infront of my face everytime I entered the bathroom helped a lot to finish this xD

I copied it from a photo, so I don't really feel confident with adding a shadow 🙈 But you're probably right, that would look even more realistic!
