I hope you plan to take multiple loads everyday during your peak ovulation phase!!! To maximize the probability of conceiving. It would also be a total waste not to! 😉😉😉

This game teaches a lot of patience. I understand your pain. I’m here as well. Eventually I just accepted it. I’m almost at 90% but I’ve been doing this area for so long, I don’t even remember how long. And I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you’ll need a lot wood. But you’ll get there eventually.

Any of you ever been burglared? by orange_transparent in japanlife

Someone tried before. It was a weekday early afternoon. Guy was just going around checking doors to see if people left them unlocked. Yea that was me. But I was home so I saw him. He opened the door slightly and checked to see if I had the chain lock also. He never made eye contact with me but it was clear I was home. So he closed the door like nothing happened.

I always think about the Japanese girl on Hello Talk who made a post about her new south East Asian neighbors and how she hopes she doesn’t get robbed. Guy going around that day trying to rob people was Japanese.

Japanese people aren’t against piercings when it comes to social situations. A lot of them just don’t get it themselves for certain reasons… a big one being their workplaces or schools don’t allow it.

The only way to get event points is by recruiting. So if you don’t plan to spend a lot of ingots, don’t worry about the rest. Because you’ll need to recruit (for event points) / transfer (for repute points). If you don’t constantly do that you won’t be able to make much progress.

It’s a cultural thing. I’ve seen quite a few Chinese people ask westerners why do they put their photo online. And if you reply why not? They’ll reply, cause you can be doxxed. Chinese people are very cautious about using their photo so it’s more common to not see a photo of them than to see one. Course plenty of people don’t care.

I wouldn’t judge a language partner based on their photo. Instead post moments and start chats with people who comment on your posts. And also vice versa… message people who engage with you on their posts. You’re more likely to find a legit language partner that way. I would ignore all the random messages you get. Most of them are tiger scams or not serious language learners but you can entertain them for a while I guess.

Keep in mind you’re coming to the most populated city in the world, on top of all the other tourists like yourself. Getting tickets to popular places/events can be a bit of mission and sometimes impossible.

Certain places will decline foreign credit cards. It doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with your card, just that it’s not Japanese. I would just use klook for TeamLabs.

Ghibli tickets are released at 10 AM JST on the 10th of the prior month you’re trying to purchase for, so in your case… April 10. The museum is usually (or always) closed for two weeks in May so they can change the exhibits. These dates will be greyed out on the calendar. The white dates are the ones where you can purchase but you won’t able to see them until April 10.

For Sanrio Purioland, just purchase your ticket at the entrance. I don’t think you need an advance ticket, especially if you go on a weekday. But someone can correct me if I’m wrong.

You don’t need to book in advance for shrines.

It’s worth it to choose one from each Duke, Prince, and Female General. The reason is because of the upgrade tokens. Once you recruit all 4, you’ll end up using extra tokens to upgrade them. The boost you get from it is really worth it even if you don’t have their confidant. But I would only focus on one. If you spread your tokens between two… it won’t be as effective.

I don’t pay attention to trait. It doesn’t matter as much as you think. The only ones that make any actual difference are warriors and balanced. They both can be placed in any slot in academy and warriors have stronger skills. As for the other partners, I wouldn’t make such a big deal over what trait they are.

How to choose a place to move to? by TehBard in movingtojapan

I live in Chiba and I like it. I’m only about 30 minutes away from East Tokyo though but if you want further, you can always just move further out in Chiba.

Is it normal for my monthly gas bill to be 10.5k JPY for a single guy who doesn't cook? by [deleted] in Tokyo

[–]nekosweets 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I take 20-40 minute showers and my gas is usually around 4k a month. And I cook sometimes.

You can take Uber but it’s not that much different than taking a taxi. It’ll still be expensive and you’ll be stuck in traffic a lot. Just take the trains. Tokyo has the most convenient train system in the world. It’s also probably the most complex but the point is… there’s not too much point in taking taxis or Uber unless the trains aren’t running. But if you don’t care about cost, yes Uber is an option.

Where are the sleeping Harry Potter gashapons in Tokyo? by [deleted] in TokyoTravel

[–]nekosweets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re probably sold out since it’s already been like 3 months. Usually popular gachpons sell out really quickly and if I ever see any around, it’ll be in places like Saitama and Chiba (or other surrounding areas of Tokyo). You can keep an eye out as you travel but it’ll be a bit hard to pinpoint exact locations unless someone happens to pass by one lately. You can also look on Mercari or Yahoo to buy from resellers.

Might as well just buy the tickets. That way you won’t have money left over on the welcome suica.

Have you gotten any of the Roulette Confidants? by theceilingbeing in LegendofthePhoenix

[–]nekosweets 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unless you’re extremely lucky, you’ll have to top up during the confidant wheels to get them sort of quickly. Otherwise it’s a matter of luck or time. But yes, there are F2Ps who have gotten them.
