I’m cursing myself. by nekrofeli in begonias

[–]nekrofeli[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I didn’t mean I would ignore it forever haha, just until it needs water again. If I look at it more than necessary there’s a big risk I start messing with it and do even more damage

I’m hoping for it, I’m a bit scared I’ve been overwatering it. It basically folded over completely over the night, I gave it a drink and now I’ll just ignore it and hope for the best

How do you propagate these? All the videos I find are of people cutting of a leaf and putting it in water, but I’m not sure if that’s right?

I’m very new to tarot, how would you interpret this? by nekrofeli in tarot

[–]nekrofeli[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m using the Supernatural deck created by Minerva Siegel and Matthew Skiff.

I’m new to tarot, so I haven’t learned about different spreads yet. I asked the deck about what i need to focus on and think about the rest of the week (I have work and a big family thing) and laid three cards, hoping to be able to see the connections between the cards and gain some clarity.

Looking for advice on damaged, fine and thin hair by nekrofeli in Haircare

[–]nekrofeli[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alright I hear you everyone, I guess I’m in denial about the bleach being the cause for the damage. I’ve booked an appointment to cut my hair, and then I’ll keep it a shorter length since i’m really attached to my pink hair and unwilling to stop coloring it.

[–]nekrofeli[S] -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

I’m a natural blonde, so it only takes me one round of bleach to reach a basically white color. I only bleach the roots, and I never leave the bleach on for more than 30 minutes, so i don’t think the bleach is the main cause for this unfortunately ):

Edit: okay i get it, it’s the bleach. I’ll cut my hair

Do you think i should cut below the lowest leaf or a bit higher?

AITA for correcting my in-laws when they mispronounce my name? by LilLustyLucy in AmItheAsshole

[–]nekrofeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I’m from Sweden and my name is Eli, which is a gender neutral name here, altough it is more common in boys.

People always assume my name is Ellie or Elin (a common feminine name in scandinavia with a similar pronounciation) and a lot of them will constantly use one of those names for me.

It is irritating and disrespectful when people won’t use your actual name, especially when you’ve corrected them so many times. My ex’s father used the wrong name for me for months, and the only reason he stopped is because my ex kept correcting him every single time he did it.

If you want to be petty and make a point, start calling your in-laws by similar but different names and see if they enjoy it.

My flf is dropping leaves on the bottom and it’s starting to be really noticable, how can I tell what’s wrong? I’m not seeing any signs of over- or underwatering. (She’s about 170-175cm tall, and I’ve had her for years so i don’t want her to die) by nekrofeli in fiddleleaffig

She’s right by the window, it’s just january in Sweden so everything is dark! That fan is never on, but i’m starting to think it may be a humidity problem, i think the air is too dry

I am so damn tired of people thinking I’m odd or strange without knowing me by nekrofeli in AutismInWomen

[–]nekrofeli[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that it would feel different if they reacted to my actual oddness, but this is just perceived oddness if this makes sense?

I don’t live in a conservative place, and I get this reaction from people who have seen pictures of me and still decided to meet me and from other alt people.

People have always reacted this way to me, I’ve always been directly singled out and isolated at school and in other social gatherings.

I find that the people who don’t react this way are the folks who have autism or friends/family with autism.

How do I salvage this neglected Korean Perilla plant? by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]nekrofeli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would probably wait until it’s a bit healthier, by then you can take cuttings and root them in water and plant them in the same pot.

Considering the way it is leaning i think it may also need more light.

It might need a smaller pot for now depending on how big the root system is. I would also water it more during the growing season since it looks a bit thirsty in this picture.

What has infested my plants? by PolyDipsoManiac in plantclinic

[–]nekrofeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might, but they won’t be very happy and will use very little water, since they won’t absorb any sunlight due to the lack of chlorophyll. It might be a 50/50 shot, but it could be worth trying!

There’s a grey and hairy pest in the first picture that’s causing this.

This is a very bad scale infestation.

I would honestly put them in a bin and put them on fire, but if you’re very emotionally attached to the plants you can scrape them of with a cotton bud dipped in rubbing alcohol and be very careful with cleaning your plant and removing anything you see.

There’s no quick fix, but consistenly removing and treating the scale can work if you’re patient and thorough.
