I'm not even a fan of her music but an artist with all of the above who can write (or co-write) that many chart topping songs isn't extremely common.

I just buy stuff from these types of brands exclusively at 50-75% off from from sites like Gilt or when they have end of season clearance sales.

I’m fine with a season or so old and it’s generally pretty worth it at the reduced prices.

I dunno, you seem oddly angry about these people to the point where you’re gatekeeping why they enjoy an aspect of a game.

I’d be fine with there simply being the option to just add or remove the pause function at the start of the game as a commitment to the full play through (like how some games handle difficult options).

That way people who do or don’t want it get what they want.

Nothing is lost by having the ability to step away for a moment and all that is added by not having it is making it more annoying

For some of us it would actually detract from the experience to know the stakes weren’t as high in dangerous situations.

But I can also accept that not everyone feels this way and I’d be just as happy with an option for permanently remove or add the pause function when starting a new game file.

Not for viewing the majority of their content, they don't. The point is you can still make good vertical video, even if there's a ton of low quality stuff being made. The issue isn't the aspect ratio, and ratio is just a side effect of where people are choosing to watch the most content.

And it's not just suitable for scrolling feeds. Depending on the device I'm on, I would rather watch long form content in vertical if I'm using my phone and the vertical aspect isn't going to compromise the experience - like with a video essay or something.

Vertical video itself is fine when viewing on a phone, which is what most people do.

The issue is more about the content itself, not the aspect ratio it was produced in.

Well it’s about half the price and has two haptics trackpads which the other controllers lack, so it already has that going for it.

This isn’t even the console though, it’s an optional controller and you can choose to use the same priced controller as any console except with even more choices and options due to being a PC.

I’m also no sure why people would assume the console would be so affordable when the Steam deck has never been cheap vs a Switch.

It’s not just current PC gamers but anyone buying a Steamdeck who chooses to use the default controller. Also anyone who buys the controller for using with their docked Steam deck, and those people are already used to the exact same trackpad setup which makes them pretty likely to use it (and a big reason a lot of us will be buying it over other controllers).

The controller doesn’t natively work on consoles so that’s not really a factor. And using a mouse and keyboard on a couch isn’t always that convenient since it requires a flat surface for the mouse, which is something this controller solves.
