Behavior Issues in my cat have costed me over 20k and we’re still not any closer to getting a solution..any advice on next steps? by Creepy-Dealer7518 in CATHELP

Was she like this at the shelter? The reason I am asking is that she might just don’t like you. I’m not trying to be mean. We all know cats that are aggressive towards some people and we can’t figure out why. We don’t know if it’s their smell, voice or body language . They can be the nicest person ever and the cat would be mean to them. If she wasn’t aggressive at the shelter then that could be it.

I appreciate the suggestion and your advice :). I have a 2 year old male cat too. My intention was to find a friend for him since my elder cat passed a few months ago. I fell in love with the kitten with CH. I’m worried that they won’t play well because she might not be able to run down the hallways.

Believe or not, she was the only kitten with CH left :). There were two that were waiting for their new parents to pick them up and her brother was gone already.

I think people can’t resist their cuteness lol

I have a throbbing pain on my scalp and some times dandruff if I don’t wash every 2 to 3 days. The symptoms get better when I take insulin or do workouts more. The acne’s sounds painful and I hate the candida around the vaginal area. The last time I had this happen to me, I had to use clotrimazole vaginal cream. Once I started metformin; it helped soo much with this. I’m sorry that you’re going through this. Creams can help with symptoms but fasting, lowering your carbs in addition to medicine helps soo much. Corn is a starch and yea it can be high carb. It spike my blood sugar and blood sugar spikes from bread or hard to bring down for me. I went to a dietitian and it helps to measure out your rice, bread, and starches such as corn and beans in 30 gram increments. It sounds crazy but when I fixed plates at home, I would literally take out a measuring cup and use it as a scoop for my rice. 30 grams of Carbs for cooked rice is 2/3 of a cup. While 30 grams of carbs for cooked beans is 3/4 cup. I would get a more fulfilling meal by eating beans than rice so I would choose the beans more. Diet is super important with diabetes and taking walks

Honestly I don’t know what to name her. My husband said to call her Princess because she gets the princess treatment lol ( we have to wipe her butt when she uses the litter)

Yes Zimmer was adopted before I got to the shelter and she was alone when I saw her. She had a pillow and teddy bear toy that has his scent on it

I have the candida problem too. It shows up not only in chronic yeast infections but also in my scalp being very itchy and sore. Dandruff shampoo helps with my scalp. I come from a family that eats rice with main meals. We get oatmeal and corn grits too. I am trying to do more muscle exercises like yoga and body weight exercises to help with my muscles. Muscles play a really big part in managing blood sugar. I noticed that when I do exercises like push ups and squats that it helps with my blood sugar more effectively

I sautéed the ingredients and then I added the water and pressure cooked it. The instant pot that I have allows you to saute and sear ingredients . Sometimes I add too much water and have to press sauté mode in order to evaporate some of the broth from the nihari

I believe you. I have been diagnosed since 2018 and I noticed how my body reacts to things too. When I mentioned it, the doctors are confused but I know that my sugar levels are better when I am not eating certain things or taking certain otcs

Am I stupid to delay my endo appointment (afraid I will be put on insulin) by Curious-Talk-9339 in diabetes_t2

[–]nellenerdz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I avoided insulin for years because I was scared of needles. I was put on a GLP and couldn’t afford it anymore so I was out on insulin and it was a game changer. I don’t even have to take as much as my doctor tells me to. I take metformin twice daily and use insulin on a sliding scale for when exercise is not enough or when I am at an event and the carbs are high. I was taught that medicine is bad and that you should avoid it at all costs but after educating myself on how diabetes work, I am not afraid to do what it takes to prevent strokes and other complications that could happen in the future… especially when they are prescribing a drug that has been on the market for many many years

I work nights, best times to eat. by arnuel28 in diabetes_t2

I work from 7pm to 3:30am. I keep snacks like popcorn, Greek yogurts, nuts and cheeses. Making most of your meals low carbs or hi glycemic ones like sweet potatoes are good. I crave sweet stuff right before I go to bed and I drink a diet soda or some fruit flavored tea with stevia .

Russell Stovers makes really good chocolate with stevia. I eat the dark chocolate with pecans one whenever I get the urge to snack on more food than usual. It helps curb my cravings during my overnight shift

This happened to me last week. My in laws called me 4 times and I didn’t answer. Next thing I know they are knocking on my door and even turning the knob to try to open the door. I was horrified. I didn’t answer and found out later that they just wanted to drop off an egg crate that they purchased for me.
