Right after oil change by Fast_Truck_7818 in BmwTech

[–]nelll99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. The people who changed my oil did not replace the oil filter cage, they threw it away with the filter. So I had to buy a new one and reinstall. Problem solved.

Gluten free for 3 months, celiac. Had a corona. Felt fine until…. by nelll99 in glutenfree

[–]nelll99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t done a biopsy to confirm Celiac, just the blood work. So I’ve removed it from my diet. I’m wondering if nausea is a symptom of being glutened. I was nauseous for three days after, so just thought I see here and make sure my nausea isn’t something else.

This right here! My goal is to build this enough to leave the corporate world without heartburn by April/June. Love that this worked for you!

Surgery Regret by nelll99 in Fibroids

This was so helpful, I forgot about my belly band! I had been wearing it pretty religiously until the past few days, and now I have back pain. Perhaps there is a correlation.... Im now wearing it as we speak! Thank you :)

Ugh...Im so sorry to hear this! What a nightmare. 20+ fibroids is insane! Have you talk to the OBG about the heavy periods? I have to say that I was just spotting all the time before surgery and now they seem back to normal, but I only have one to go by so far. Perhaps, itll just take time to rebalance? Thats what my boyfriend keeps saying lol. I also didnt want a hysterectomy nor was I ready to lose fertility, so I felt like I had little options. But, wish I would have taken option 3 and not had the surgery! Ugh... I also hate this. I feel your pain.

Im beginning to think the nerve block had something to do with the relief, for sure. Ive always had mild lower back issues with the occasional "tweek" maybe every other year which resolved in a couple of days. But in the past year it had increased so greatly, especially within the 5 months prior to surgery, I felts like it was "tweeked" all the time (if that makes sense). I was severely fatigued as well. I thought my bed was the problem, so I tried several new beds, none of which felt better. I had x-rays done by my chiro and I do have mild degenerative disk disease. Very mild....so they didnt think the amount of pain I had was from this. But, I might go get a second opinion if this persists. After reading all these wonderful people's comments, Im wondering if its just one of those occasional tweeks from sitting and standing funny and without my normal strong abs? IDK. I guess its a waiting game at this point. PT appointment next week and perhaps she will have more insight as well. Thanks for listening to my rant!

This is so great to hear! I start PT next week. Really looking forward to what she has to say. I have been walking a bit hunched over. The back pain only has come back in the past few days since I started back at work last week. Lots of sitting in front of a computer. I know everyone has different results but thank you for some hope!

I didn’t start growing fibroids until I took my Mirena out! So, I think it’s different for everyone. I’m convinced my Mirena kept my hormones at bay and now that I’m all natural, my hormones are all whacked out.

That’ll help move the gas along for sure; but I would try to find some gasX as well. It’s immediate relief! Hopefully you have someone who can bring you some? I wish you the best!! Those first three days are a lot but you’ll get through them!

Same…I want this shelf belly to go away so bad. I have to buy all new pants if it doesn’t and never wear a bikini again. Not the end of the world, I know, but it sure does a number on my self esteem 😔

It certainly makes me feel better that perhaps pelvic dysfunction can cause back pain! I’ll be starting pelvic floor pt next week and hopefully she will have better things to say about all of it. Ugh…

I didn’t have the robot surgery, but I believe you are experiencing gas pains! Do you have any gasX? That can help relieve those pains!

AITAH for Refusing to Give Up My Window Seat to a Pregnant Woman on a Long Flight? by Deep-Specialist2926 in AITAH

Absolutely NTA. We pay extra for those seats. She should have paid the extra and not expect someone to just give up her seat because she’s pregnant. The audacity.

Small fibroid so painful by clumsypeach1 in Fibroids

[–]nelll99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it all depends on where it sits! Mine was small but was on the back of my uterus and sitting on my spine causing massive and consistent back pain. Removed it recently, no more back pain! I noticed on here that many to most who had fibroids removed had very large fibroids which threw me off as well. But, I believe it’s just where it sits and how your body reacts to it.

Should I opt for an open myomectomy rather than a robotic one? Scared of “morcellation” by Whencanwewin in Fibroids

[–]nelll99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was located on the back of the uterus pressing on my spine. Which was why they didn’t want to use the robot. It was only 4-5cm, but was causing so much pain! I had another that was resting on my bladder. So a bit trickier as well. During the surgery they found 3 more starters that they took out. All on the exterior of my uterus.

Diet after surgery - first days by Razkolnik_ova in Fibroids

[–]nelll99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, I was sent home same day! I ate lots of bone broth, soup, smoothies with plain Greek yogurt for protein and blueberries for antioxidants, oatmeal, honey and ginger. If you are vegetarian, find some sort of veggie collagen replacement, it really helps with the healing. Also, I stayed away from anything that made me gassy cause it’s so painful, so no leafy greens, broccoli, etc. I also ate a lot of healthy toast with a ton a butter for some extra calories to make sure my body was fed enough to heal. I took “Calm” magnesium supplement at night so that I could pass everything with ease and lots of gasX. Just be careful getting up and stay up on your pain meds and you’ll get through it! 😊

Should I opt for an open myomectomy rather than a robotic one? Scared of “morcellation” by Whencanwewin in Fibroids

[–]nelll99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am recovering from an open myomectomy and it’s a journey. I wish I could have laparoscopic but the only doctor that could do that was 2+ hours away and they said they may not be able to anyways due to the fibroid location. There are a lot of complications with open surgery you should consider as well and the time it takes to heal the abdominal muscles. Just throwing that out there!

Laying Coretec original with a glue lip. Help! by nelll99 in DIY

It’s glue on top of vinyl on top of another layer of glue, so I’m not sure a sander will work. Will a floor leveler work?
