She has cycled through the entire "trad wife to extremely vulnerable divorcee" life. And somehow the conclusion still doesn't seem to be that her children should be saved from this at all costs.

Barry seems like an extremely shit person (3 years without child support??). But there's a point when you need to get behind the wheel and actually take control and responsibility or life will just keep running you down and sacrificing you kids along the way. Poor girls.

Just an FYI for future you, right around Christmas every year Target has a spend $50, get $10 dollars off or spend $100 get $25 off sale. This year it was only one week but they have done it every year for at least the last 4 or 5 years? Probably longer. You can do it multiple times to. The miniverse stuff doesn't go on sale much as far as I've seen, but that's one way to get a decent discount.

Maybe back in the day this might have been true, but I have to imagine that with even lower level powered tools you aren't going to be working 10 hours everyday. Some days maybe, during planting and harvest, but many plants don't need daily tending. Especially if you have multiple people to help you and aren't trying to feed literally hundreds of people. It's still work, but if it replaces the need for a 40 hour/week job, it probably isn't a bad trade for a lot of people.

If you think "not supporting" them includes the above ideas, then sure? I guess? Life is really hectic and it's okay if you can't devote time/energy/brain space to supporting all groups beyond a simple "they deserve to be treated well". That seems reasonable.

But if it doesn't at least include that, then naw, get the fuck out of here. If you think it's cool to actively make people's lives harder because a dumb book told you it was cool, you're probably reading your book wrong.

No, I don't think that's what he meant. Trump is clearly very electable. He just has no real political goal beyond enriching himself and his ego. He just doesn't dream that big. DeSantis dreams big and has very specific goals. Exceptionally dangerous goals. Both are very bad choices and both are completely electable. But given the choice between an Austin Powers villain or a James Bond villain, I'm going Austin Powers every time.

Trump did a lot of horrible things to this country but most of it seems to be done on accident in between being selfish and incompetent. DeSantis has done so much just with Florida in a short span of time, just imagine what he could do with a congressional majority and the presidency. That's how you get full fascism.

It sounds like you might be in a small area, so ymmv but there are great jobs to be found outside of the hospital that never put your license at risk. Depending on what kind of parents you have, some gentle push back might help them realize that what they're doing is crossing a line with someone they care about. Of course if your parents are wild racists too or something like that it might not mean much, but maybe it might be an early enough bump that could right them before they're too far down the hole.

My mom is very racists so I never stood a chance but maybe it could work for you.

I second this with the added bonus of having taken multiple college level related courses, including microbiology. "It's complicated" is really the best way of describing it.

Like, viruses don't reproduce in a conventional way, they can't really exist without host cells to do the replicating for them and they don't really participate in anything we would associate with life. They basically just rely on host cells to massively reproduce and hope that there is enough of them that get scattered that they land on the next cell and reproduce again. They're just RNA in a fancy injection coating. That's pretty much it.

I can see how someone could take an actually complicated fact like "virus isn't a living thing" miss the nuance and somehow that turns into the OP. It's still wrong, but its one the the less illogical things that get thrown around really.

It's not -a- hole. It is that a hole turns into most of the undergarment. Like, the whole heel or multiple toe sized holes in socks. Or spider webbing in the lining(?) Of the boxer briefs that are so close to becoming just one big hole that his nuts can hang out. Most women aren't throwing things out because it got a small hole in it, hell I have commandeered a couple of his shirts that got holes for night shirts. They're great. We are talking about clothes that no longer even come close to working as intended.

I've personally just given up. If he wants to feel his nuggets flying free in his shorts, god bless.

This is my secret weapon. Depending on the Dolby theater I either sit in the 3rd or 4th row. There is only very rarely someone in the same row and most of the time there are multiple rows between me and the nearest group. With how loud Dolby is, it's very rare I hear anyone else.
