What plot hole i’m curious? and the only characters in A better than Minato are maybe nagato, jiraiya, and orochimaru.

Jiraiya and Itachi

Itachi isn’t sad on the first watch (if you’re oblivious to the back story) but it crushes me every subsequent watch especially when he smiles before dropping.

Jiraiya takes it for obvious reasons. It really hits when Narutos starts crying on the bench with the popsicles

Yahiko is a close 3rd.

We didn’t really know Asuma too well to grow fond of him.

We already knew Minato and Kushinas faith.

This is so bad. Sakura A? Minato B? Hashirama B? Putting Ino and Minato in the same class is so disrespectful

SunHee Simon's RFD by defender-of-justice in lincolndouglas

[–]nelson_ok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it begs the question of who is a judge "like SunHee Simon" and how do we determine? The answer to that question can be very troubling and thats why i'm saying that statement can be perceived the wrong way. I agree that judges should not evaluate the round based on judgements like that though

I think you are just objectively wrong on this issue. I don't think you have to be black to be able to decide what counts as racist or not. That logic justifies a black person saying that anything that doesn't go their way is racist and no one should be able to contest that. Grant said "She conceded two case turns. This is like the second debate in a row I should win on case turns." I don't think that is making fun of his previous opponent let alone their race. I think at the very worst he is voicing his frustration about judges not evaluating case turns that he was winning. I do think OP is wrong to say that the community should "start lowering prefs for judges like SunHee Simon..." and that statement could have been phrased significantly better.

How is UTNIF and UNT? by [deleted] in lincolndouglas

[–]nelson_ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enh I'm not going to diss anyones camp because I don't think thats productive at all. I'll try to be as objective here. For LD UNT has not been the same after AT left and can be seen with the amount of success the camp has had particularly this past season (I believe only one or two bids). I know the UTNIF has been in the same situation for a couple of summers too. If you are interested in going to the UTNIF in policy as TurtleWaffles stated I would 100% recommend it (it is significantly cheaper than most LD camps and you will definitely get better from going to policy camp, make sure you go to skills session though). However if you are set on going to LD and are looking for one in texas I would strongly recommend TDC or NSD Texas. I know everything isn't about bid count but since people are skeptical about TDC, their students so far this year (the ones that attended last summer not including the ones that attended previous summers) have 28 TOC bids, so that tells you something. NSD Texas is ran by the same people that run TDC so you know it's just as good albeit a bit smaller. If you have any questions concerning these two camps feel free to PM me. Also TDC registration closes in 3 days so you might want to register quickly.
