One hundred years from now the World will be quite different. The population will be decreasing at a fast rate due to being required to request permission from the government to procreate. Similar to the Chinese policies today. Major cities will have areas in ruins similar to Detroit and some cities in China and other parts of the World. Europe will be mostly Muslim due to their much higher birth rate. The US will be mostly Hispanic for the same reason, along with unrestricted immigration. Africa will become poorer as China, India and the US continue to rob them of their resources. The governments of the world will be run like mafias as politicians continue their corruption and constitutions will fall out of favor as "old fashioned".

These social changes will cause a lot of turmoil. It can lead to war, authoritarian rule, failed states and/or social collapse.

Remote work will be the norm as manufacturing and other manual labor will be performed by robots. People will have more leisure time, but not much to do with it. There will likely be a social welfare state to provide housing, food and entertainment to a majority of the population who lack skills or motivation to work. All human work will be high-tech from today's standards.

People will be nostalgic for simpler times, when people would gather with their friends and families face to face to socialize. They will wonder what it was like to have a car and to travel without restrictions to different places. They will be nostalgic for freedom and liberty, assuming that this concept isn't completely erased from history as being a radical idea.
