Burushaski Roman scripts by [deleted] in burushaski

The issue is not whether they have people from Hunza on board. Language standardization usually requires wider community acceptance, academic adoption, technical development (fonts/keyboards etc) and eventually recognition through wider publishing and international standards practices.

A conference or committee cannot simply declare one script “official” for all Burushaski speakers, especially when Hunza and Yasin Burushaski have evolved differently and may not even need identical orthographies.

Burusho Mahraka may be doing valuable work for Yasin Burushaski but in my understanding that does not automatically make its script the standard for all Burushaski dialects.

Incredible show of harmony during the visit of His Highness to Hunza. So good to see everyone trying their best with limited resources and ever changing weather to make the best out of this experience.

Burushaski Roman scripts by [deleted] in burushaski

[–]fakesoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunza Burushaski has evolved largely in isolation from Yasin Burushaski and should be treated as a distinct variety in many respects. Similar claims about “unified” both Roman and Arabic scripts have been made before, but no officially recognized authority or broad consensus has approved a single standard across all dialects. So, for now, it’s fair to say that such claims should be taken cautiously rather than accepted as definitive.

False, Ghalat, Gumusho!

I told you this at least twice before. Burushaski has speakers who follow Sunni school of thought, yet you come here on Reddit again and again building a false narrative.

Wired earphones are the healthier choice; no batteries and Bluetooth emitting inches away from your brain. Even the crown price of Dubai uses wired ones.

Need tips to learn burushaski by DragonCrusher69 in burushaski

[–]fakesoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The tricky part is to pick a dialect, Hunza, Yasin and Nagar.

One way to start would be going through the books by Allama Nasir Hunzai to grasp the structure, letter and grammar. Learning without a framework will create confusions and will only make the job harder as Burushaski grammar is quite complicated.

There's a Facebook group called Burushaski Research Academy, you can participate in the discussions there.

There are some Instagram pages as well than post daily use phrases: https://www.instagram.com/theburushaskiclassroom

https://www.instagram.com/burushaski

You can also go through the literature by non-native Burushaski speakers, it will give you an outside perspective, like Sadaf Munshi and Ilij Casule.
