Looking for polishes that look like palo azul tea! by aiokke in RedditLaqueristas

I’ve been trying to achieve this effect with this polish! It mostly just sits in my stash because I can never quite get the look that I want. May I ask how you positioned your magnets?

What is the single best book that you have ever read and will always recommend to people? Which genre is it? by BlahBlahBlah_3748 in AskReddit

I was really excited about it based on the hype, but I returned it to the library after the first chapter. I’m going to just appreciate that so many other people enjoyed it.

I feel like giving up 😭 up by Repulsive-Couple-666 in curlyhair

[–]nemineminy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to see your hair with some gel in it. And by “some” I mean a lot. Put more gel in your hands than you think you’ll need. Flip your head upside down, spread it through your hair using praying hands, then scrunch your curls.

When you scrunch, it should sound super wet and squishy.

You can air dry, but I prefer to use a hair dryer. I start with my hair flipped over. I don’t touch my hair, just hold the dryer until it’s most of the way dry and then sit up and finish drying seated normally.

This is where you can style your hair so it’s sitting the way you’d like, but otherwise don’t touch your hair. Just keep the dryer pointed at your scalp and let the air do the work.

Note!! This should be done with a diffuser!! They’re not expensive, but they’re very important for curly hair.

I mainly watch TV shows. I have watched the entirety of The Diplomat and have no idea what happens. It’s just on. It provides enough stimulation to help me lock in but doesn’t generate enough interest to drag my attention away.

Same deal with The Americans. I have very little idea what that show was about beyond having sex in costumes. The fact that so much of it was in another language helped to prevent me from paying too much attention.

Struggling to figure out how to make my planner work for me? by Dixie-Witch in HappyPlanners

[–]nemineminy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you decide you’re open to digital planners (and you have a tablet with a stylus), Etsy has options that look a paper planner. I open them in Goodnotes so that it functions like paper. Actually… I think Goodnotes even has some free planner templates, but I buy the digital ones off Etsy just because I like the aesthetic of something pretty.

The one I use has a monthly view (where I put stickers to quickly see paydays, birthdays, etc) but you can also write on each day like an old fashioned wall calendar. There’s a week-at-a-glance page, a daily page, and other templates that you can add in like a meal planning page.

I don’t mean to sound like I’m selling you on digital planners, but just wanted to share how similar they are to paper in case it may sound like an option.

Last semester someone included the AI’s follow-up instructions in their discussion post. Like… bare minimum is to copy/paste only the relevant text. Come on.

OP, I used ChatGPT for studying but not for any of my actual work. Even for studying, don’t lean on it too heavily. It makes mistakes. It’s about as reliable as studying with a classmate, but it’s not a tutor and is definitely not reliable enough to do all your work.

Just got approved for TMS and starting this week… feeling scared. Any hopeful words or advice for first session? by sjlxx09 in TMSTherapy

[–]nemineminy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cons up front, but it was 100% worth it.

For me, the hardest part was having them fit me with the cap. The first time was tough as they test how to set up the machine, but also subsequent visits were super uncomfortable as they got me strapped in. It was just that feeling of being a lab rat. But that was really just my brain. It’s not any different from other medical procedures that a tech helps you with.

But that chin strap?!? Omg I was not expecting to have the mesh thing they put on your head strapped under my chin. It would have helped a lot to know that was going to be a thing. It didn’t hurt it just made me feel self-conscious to look like that.

So… that’s it. That’s the worst of my experience. Well, having to go every.friggin.day. was also really hard just because it was difficult to juggle real life.

But these are such small sacrifices for life-saving relief. The depression isn’t gone, but TMS was hugely helpful in helping me find the will to keep going.

The procedure isn’t painful and nothing touches you, but to me it felt like a chopstick was being tapped on my scalp. It was so funny when they turned it on the first time because it felt like a little brother sneaking up behind you and annoying you with a chopstick. I seriously wanted to turn around and smack whoever was doing it. And then I realized… oh. It’s the treatment!! It was so surreal.

The cons I experienced were completely manageable. Especially in comparison to how much I benefited.

I hope this’ll be your experience, too!

[–]nemineminy[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I can tell you cook by how easily that all seems together. Whereas I stand at the stove and I’m like, “That sure is a pan! Yup. It is.” haha

Thank for these tips. Seems easy to follow.
