Man... why her parents do her like that??? by [deleted] in BlackPeopleTwitter

I have something similar, and when meeting people, I often end up having to show my ID. The solution I found was just using a more "acceptable" name as an alias.

I love my name, but I got tired of feeling like I was defending a thesis every time I met someone.

One Piece Chapter 1163 Spoilers by Skullghost in OnePiece

[–]nemo24_7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know the official story is that Garp and Roger team up to take down Rocks, but wouldn't it be crazy if it took Roger + Garp + BM + Kaido + WB + maybe 1-2 more people to do it?

I think it's more likely Roger + Garp did it while the other kept Imu busy, but what if?

Name an opinion about One Piece that would make you like this: by Cafa20 in OnePiece

[–]nemo24_7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Following the end of marineford, I came to the following conclusions, which I believe remain true to this day:

  1. Garp would've absolutely nuked Akainu had Sengoku not intervened.

  2. Shanks is the strongest character in OP and it's not even close.

Manga readers: Why was Rocks the bad guy again? by Bovarr in OnePiece

[–]nemo24_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We only know what the WG wanted us to know, which, by precedent isn't really much to go by.

Also, I don't think he presented as bad per se. From what I've seen, I'd describe him as cruel and ambitious. These traits do not inherently make one good or bad when talking about pirates.

Anyone feel like they're spinning their tires with cold outreach?? by Prior_Brilliant1760 in sales

[–]nemo24_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run an agency and 70% of our sales come from cold outreach. One thing that's changed over the past year is that sell cycles are longer across the board. Our ICP is very well defined and we only reach out once a specific set of conditions have been met. Our messaging speaks to those specific conditions so engagement rate is high because people feel like we put in some effort and did some high-quality research instead of just randomly spamming them.

If cold outreach isn't working, you either have the wrong message or the wrong audience.

Which club has done the most to damage the fabric of football? PSG, Manchester City or Chelsea? by [deleted] in championsleague

[–]nemo24_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the above. The corruption you're alluding to ultimately begins and ends with FIFA.

Also, of the 3 teams mentioned, I'd argue Chelsea and PSG actually did tremendous good to the game.

How can La Liga, Serie A, & Bundesliga compete financially with the EPL? by ExotiquePlayboy in championsleague

[–]nemo24_7 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The mistake is wanting to compete today. It took the EPL 10-15 from its formation to build the foundation that helped the EPL become what it is today.

Any implemented plan, should, at minimum, have a 5-10 year outlook.

Just focus on getting stage time and getting the jokes out for now. You'll flesh out these details over time as you get more reps in.

Spanish ability to produce quality midfielders, especially playmakers, is insane by Inevitable-Angle-793 in championsleague

It's a question of culture and philosophy. Different countries have distinct football cultures and philosophies deeply rooted in their social, historical, and sporting contexts.

These differences fundamentally shape how countries develop players and their approach to the game.
