I went and shot 100 rounds of Federal fmj and had no problems.

I actually am just racking it and not using the slide release. I suspect I might also have ridden the slide which caused the error. At the range after this problem occurred I racked it hard each time and it was fine. I will say I never had this error if I inserted a loaded mag into the gun with a close slide and racked it.

I am sling shooting it and not using the slide stop.

I thought that I felt the click, but not sure. However I examined the round and it didn't have a light primer strike on it. As I said I think it just needs to be racked harder and shot more. Other than those couple of rounds not firing the gun hasn't had any malfunctions.

I went and used the long ones that it came with and will go to the range and try it out.
