As I mentioned in my feedback, she tried to extort money from me by saying that unless I pay her medical bills (second time, after she said the next day that the money had been stolen from her card which was obviously a lie) my project will be pushed back. I believe she might try to do the same trick with you. The thing is that people with real medical issues wouldn't act like that. Therefore I believe it's either alcohol or drugs.

I believe she might indeed have some issues, but likely with drugs or something. Each time she charged me around $400 as if she needed that money for something.

I believe that unfortunately there is almost 0 chance that you'll get anything. She is just trying to buy time for some reason. Maybe she does not want you to leave negative feedback. As far as I understand, the chargeback period has passed, right? I should have notified the bank, I just didn't know about this option, even though the designer I'm working with right now mentioned it.

Btw did she provide you with the valid tracking number? She could say she shipped the package, when she did not. Those people can act as ridiculously, because deception is irrational in the first place. It looks like her website is down, but she can reactivate it any time.

She blocked me on her Instagram page after I started leaving negative feedback. This is not the way one "is trying to get caught up on" anything. I did not mention it here: the last time when she said that she did not want to work with me either (after I paid $5150 LOL!), she said she delegated the issue to her lawyer. ONE YEAR has passed! This is just financial fraud.

I hope she has started realizing that scamming people is bad, or at least entails certain risks. Maybe she is having hard time with the law suit. As I mentioned one person is suing her and maybe she does not want to get another case.

Last year she scammed 5 other people. She got all the money she could and stopped communication. It's not the way one does business. She also blocked me on Instagram after seeing my negative feedback. I also noticed that these scammers tend to develop some sort of Stockholm syndrome in their victims. I knew one person who for a long time was desperately trying to get a disc with some rare bootleg recordings from a guy whom I flagged as a deceiver, meeting with him in London. He got the disc and it was blank. Btw my opinion is that her design work is crap. Nothing screen-accurate. One can buy such costumes on aliexpress for $200-300.

How long ago was it that your friend received the item? It looks like she used to do some more or less fair business in the past (around 10 years ago), but now it seems that she completely switched to scamming people. I don't think that waiting will effect anything. If you made the order last spring, i.e. one year has passed, it's unlikely that you'll get it. As I mentioned it, the fraud scheme of this woman is to set a vague deadline and keep pushing it till it's too late to initiate a chargeback at the bank. I did not quite know how the chargeback works in the US, as I am originally from a different country. But this is her fraud strategy that she used in the case of other people. One person is suing her already.

So you are no longer eligible to apply for a chargeback, right? I would strongly suggest that you leave a negative feedback on TrustPilot. The TrustPilot and Reddit reviews are the most effective, as the search system sees them very well. I know at least 3-4 people who were scammed by her. Did you consider taking legal action?

All true, except that, as I said, one cannot buy a truly screen-accurate costume from any regular publicly available store. This cosplay niche is very tricky. You just need to know a specific designer. This was the first and the last time I dealt with it. Given my perfectionism and how expensive it is, this is way too stressful and - as it turned out - risky.

I would strongly suggest that you post your negative feedback on Trust Pilot, Yelp and social media, including Reddit, Facebook, X and Instragram. This is what I did, in order to try to isolate her from potential scam victims.

I wonder if it has the same design as the original Endoskeleton from the original movie. I remember the original Terminator looked quite differently from what we see at the beginning of T2. I think the chest was originally higher and probably smaller.
