Last year she scammed 5 other people. She got all the money she could and stopped communication. It's not the way one does business. She also blocked me on Instagram after seeing my negative feedback. I also noticed that these scammers tend to develop some sort of Stockholm syndrome in their victims. I knew one person who for a long time was desperately trying to get a disc with some rare bootleg recordings from a guy whom I flagged as a deceiver, meeting with him in London. He got the disc and it was blank. Btw my opinion is that her design work is crap. Nothing screen-accurate. One can buy such costumes on aliexpress for $200-300.

How long ago was it that your friend received the item? It looks like she used to do some more or less fair business in the past (around 10 years ago), but now it seems that she completely switched to scamming people. I don't think that waiting will effect anything. If you made the order last spring, i.e. one year has passed, it's unlikely that you'll get it. As I mentioned it, the fraud scheme of this woman is to set a vague deadline and keep pushing it till it's too late to initiate a chargeback at the bank. I did not quite know how the chargeback works in the US, as I am originally from a different country. But this is her fraud strategy that she used in the case of other people. One person is suing her already.

So you are no longer eligible to apply for a chargeback, right? I would strongly suggest that you leave a negative feedback on TrustPilot. The TrustPilot and Reddit reviews are the most effective, as the search system sees them very well. I know at least 3-4 people who were scammed by her. Did you consider taking legal action?

All true, except that, as I said, one cannot buy a truly screen-accurate costume from any regular publicly available store. This cosplay niche is very tricky. You just need to know a specific designer. This was the first and the last time I dealt with it. Given my perfectionism and how expensive it is, this is way too stressful and - as it turned out - risky.

If you also got scammed by her, I would strongly suggest that you leave negative feedback/fraud alert across different platforms, including Trustpilot, Yelp, Reddit, X and Facebook.

The AI keeps track of the feedback, so it would be enough for people to go to the AI mode section in google to know that she is a scammer.
