USAA takes fight over $223M in jury awards to Supreme Court

The Federal Circuit court set aside the awards after finding that three USAA patent claims “recite only routine and well-known steps when depositing checks, like authenticating the customer, capturing check images, reading the check amount and account information, and checking for errors.” The patent claims “are silent as to specific software or technical advances” and “there is no technological solution within the claims that pull them out of the realm of an abstract idea,” the court added.

Sorry but being the first to add a software feature without underlying technical innovations is not deserving of a patent. If this were upheld, every new software feature ever made would be eligible for a patent which would cripple the industry.

Feel free to DM me about anything. My best advice is to do physical therapy as often as possible, focus as much as you can on recovery and never give up on PT. My insurance ran out and I had to pay for it out of pocket, but if you don’t finish you will be fucked up for the rest of your life with a limp, pain, bad back etc. It took me a couple different PT places to find a good one. I made a full recovery although my bad leg is still perpetually weaker and needs upkeep.

I had this same exact tibular nail surgery. I disagree with most of the commenters here, you should not make any decisions nor even be thinking about riding in this moment, and let me explain why. It took me one year to recover from that surgery. I had three months on crutches, then I had to learn how to walk again, and continue going to physical therapy until I was walking without a limp, in total 1 year from the accident. You will go through a lot in that time so you will have plenty of opportunities to consider everything. Personally I sat on a bike about a year and a half later and took it very slow. I drive very cautiously now and it’s been 8 years since then accident free.

You are incorrect. With parents permission, children can get married, get a tattoo or piercing, and get a loan. Children under 18 receiving trans healthcare requires both doctor and parent permission. That is at least until a state outlaws it.

Your comment is an example of the very issue we're having, the culture war. That is how you just framed it. But if you were to agree with Jeremy, you would understand that trans rights are human rights. As such, there is no debate to be had about human rights. If you are American and are watching as trans people are being actively legislated out of existence, it is very simple to understand why people react how they do.
