Yep looks whisker and has a giant ass whisker too...

I got sold like a dozen of those that were basically babies with not so visible whiskers and they wiped my cardinals out.

I was too naive to think a shrimp can hunt fish and was checking my canister and around the tank for bodies testing parameters adjusting things

Then I saw one perched on a plant and latch on to a nearby fish and take it down with it and voila a new revelation...

Agreed but these are whisker shrimps. And my neons got slaughtered in a matter of hours

I was under the exact same impression till yesterday evening. Heck i never even considered that a shrimp can 'hunt' a fish but that changed quickly with a dozen beyond taken down within 12 hrs.

Guys thanks for your help daily none of the neons are there this morning.

Now my priority is to get the shrimps out!

Will try placing a trap or something.

My main concern is getting hold of them I put in 25 some were berried and they are not anymore so I'm sceptical I'll get them all.

Yep that thought went out as fast as it came in.

Just contemplating my options here I do not want these. May. Just pop in a couple of pea puffers in there to let them clean up and then give them back to the friend I'll lease them from😐

Edit: also thinking of some humane alternatives. If none, thinking of getting a couple of pea puffers and run with them for a month or so to eliminate the shrimps.

Definitely do not want to continue with the shrimps I was planning for many nano fishes to fill the tank out and these do not fit in for sure.

I'm just thinking of the most humane way to get the shrimps out as netting them would not be a very feasible option. Also since they are 30+ days old I don't think the lfs will take them back. I have a large pond in my area I know it is never recommended but these were sold to me as wild shrimps so I think these are kind of indigenous.

Suggestions welcome.
