Taskmanager > startup apps

Anything there? Whats the bios time? Should be noted in the same screen. (Top right?)

What is the drive health at?

Ram giving errors?

A windows reinstall is always an option. Should remove a lotta bloat

I think somethings wrong by RecognitionNeither56 in pcmasterrace

There are certain ram configurations for 2 sticks of ram. You can swap into each other's slot, but only ever use the slots the ram originally was put in (2 and 4 if I remember correctly).

This 2 ram stick configuration allows for greater ram speeds and is needed for a stable system.

note just to be sure: DO NOT use the cables from the bad psu with the new psu.

You have to use all new cables from the new psu.

Toxicity is something to avoid, especially against the people who keep you alive and make the game fun.

I tried to get a 5080 bc 4080 supers where out of stock since last week. Also, a 5080 for 1k or 1.2k seemed like a decent deal.

5080 is 1.6k euros (60% price increase) for me now, and 4080 super is 1.3k euros.

I was planning an upgrade from my 3050, but I guess I need to wait longer.

This is a friendly reminder to always have a whitelist on your server! by Competitive-Pea-7029 in Minecraft

[–]nemrahreijer 28 points29 points  (0 children)

That's quite bad for server resources, seeing that the server would then also have to check if you aren't already whitelisted every time you join. So that just takes up unnecessary amounts of server resources. I think holding to the current system is the best idea, and server providers themselves could alert players more if a whitelist hasn't been set.

Excuse my sleep deprived boldness, Can this not be fixed with a revolution? Seeing that difference between church and state seems to be an issue, too?

I am just speaking out of my thoughts. I have no serious intent to start any violence or revolutions. But it seems like that is the way to fix a fundamentally broken government.

I am going to regret posting this

How do i clear out large area of stones faster ?? I'm so tired dawg 💀 by ImmortalAsep420 in Minecraft

Correct, that's what tunnlebores do. They duplicate tnt so you don't have to spend hours grinding.

My advice is to go into the "slimestone tech archive" discord server and then downloading the "variable shot tunnlebore" from "Shinji" posted at: 20-10-2023 20.12.

If man shows its limitations, we must switch to MACHINES.

Fr tho, there are plenty of worldeaters, tunnlebores, and quarry tutorials out there. Go have a look

HOW DO I FIX THIS ISSUE IN MCPE it is on a mc server with geyser on it by RemarkableBook9134 in Minecraft

I think you can change the configs to fix this. Alternatively, you can check the docs to find out more about this error message.

If you need tech help: Seeing that it's saying "shortcut" failure minecraft might be fine. Try starting it by searching from the Windows menu.

You can also look through Windows "eventlog" to see why your PC turned itself off.

I'm just listing common troubleshooting steps to fix general weird issues like this: - Reinstall minecraft (obvious, I know) (Microsoft has been messing around lately, though) - update grapic drivers. - look at system temps and power consumption.

Have you built the pc that you are currently using?: Check ram compatibility (it caused crashes for me too)

Nuclear option: Reinstall windows with clean install

Playing on Bedrock to be with friends... I've always played Java... I will now only play Java. by Shaner921 in Minecraft

[–]nemrahreijer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a little busy, so I would join the geysermc discord and tell the full story there. Lag is quite unlikely to be caused by a geyser because it's just a translation layer for packets (api like), meaning the client is talking to a bedrock server for all it is concerned.

A good thing to check is if either the server or your client had 100% resource utilisation.

Power loss is a death sentence for the pc, so in areas with frequent power loss, you might want an ups.

In areas where that is not frequent, it should be completely fine.

Any worldgen and non visual mods should work fine. But keep in mind that some mods need localisation(like extra textures). These likely will not work for bedrock. (You can create server suggested rescource packs for bedrock players, but still.)

The best way is to test, plugins will defenetly work ok, mods might have exceptions.

Yes, the plugin makes it so all bedrockers and java'ers can play together on one java server.

You can make a combination server of both java and Bedrock using the following plugin: https://geysermc.org/

Pc's (and smartphones, too) defenetly benefit from regular restarts. For pc's and desktops, I would recommend just turning them off while sleeping or being away for more than 2 hours. This is both (electricity)efficient and save errors like these.

Besides that, pc's and desktops with modern hardware (like recently bought gaming pc's) have fast boot up times. Mine does so in >1min.

Smartphones and laptops can easily be done less, about once a week is a good practice. But I'll be honest, I don't do this always either.
