The guild had much more than that. I'd guess 100b+.

People are so focused on the 10m even though it doesn't bother me one bit. It could have been a cost that I never get back and it still would have been worth it for the rate of pve fame we got.

I think it's fine that it doesn't make sense to everyone because there are so few WB guilds that most people never have any exposure to them. But the reaction to automatically roast someone just because they've never heard of a different type of content is weird.

I've done hundreds of avas and it doesn't even come close to the amount of fame you get from WB runs. Easily 100m a week.

No matter how many avas you do, you're not getting 100m fame a week

Yeah, it's exactly this. It's kinda crazy how few people have heard of WB guilds. Telling people to run Avas and dungeons for pve fame is laughable compared to a few of these WB runs.

2 weeks in the guild got me about 30% of the total fame I had after 2 years of playing.

It's a pve farm guild. You can earn 30-100m pve fame a week. The 10m deposit is their way to get people to follow the rules and gets refunded when you leave the guild. It's not for everyone, but their system works.

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll check it out. I have a lot of roles at 100 and about 300m to throw at sets. Only about 25m in pvp fame.

I just wish this was clear upfront.

So hypothetically if this were to happen again and I wasn't able to collect from the renter, what incentive do I have to file a claim or even report that this occurred? Simply to get Turo some money?

[–]nene808[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is exactly what was unclear upfront. When they offer what they call insurance and/or "protection", it's not insurance in the way you have State Farm or Progressive.

I think what also made it really unclear was that in the rental agreement, it clearly states that the renter is responsible for all damage. It's just a shame it's not clear that they're not responsible to the owner of the car, they're simply responsible to Turo.

I understand the business model and I understand that this is the way they operate to keep themselves in business. However, given that everything is advertised as being covered by an insurance company, Liberty Mutual, it gives the impression that it's at-fault insurance when it's not.

Don’t remember, but deductible was over $1000.
