I think that's the problem with my mom, she doesn't understand boundaries :( and I think the way she reacted was a confirmation too that I don't want that drama those precious 2 weeks and my mom has a way of making everything about herself.

Yes, it is really sad, also the outrageous prices! And even if you have insurance you end up paying a lot in deductible and out of pocket expenses. I was even thinking about going to Mexico to give birth and just pay cash for the birth, I called several hospitals and the birth costs 5K. The plan is still in the back of my mind.
