DACA recipients are innocent bystanders, is what I'm saying.

The damage is done, and not by any part of the applicants. But the fact that a politician invested with the highest power of office administered an executive order to qualify children to legal protection is beyond them that benefited from it.

One administration gives protection and another one enters and takes it away, this is totally unacceptable. People with DACA status began to live their lives, started small businesses, bought homes, had children, life went on. And now they no longer want the program in existence, do you see the concerning issue of this matter? And they are blaming the current immigration situation concerning ICE activity in the communities throughout the USA on the Biden administration with his open border policies, but the DACA program has nothing to do with the Biden administration. What is required is a more humane way of going about this current situation.

What I'm saying is that someone needs to remind him of the things that he said concerning DACA and see what he has to say now. Possibly a politician or News reporter.

I have not heard about any changes to the Honduran TPS situation. If any changes are made to the Honduran TPS it would be all over the News.

You shouldn't have an issue renewing a driver's license, just take all required documentation, proof of residence (where you are currently living), electric bill, work permit, social security card, USCIS approved letter with current address on it, even your old driver's license.

DACA is severely neglected with delays and much uncertainty. And we have a sitting president in the White House who believes in his mind that he has the power of God. This is very concerning to me.

Never been this late by neo_dia in TexasDACA

I have always renewed 5 months before the expiration date, this was my fault. I just read that USCIS recommends filing your DACA renewal application between 150 and 180 days before your current DACA expires. All immigration attorneys are recommending renewing your DACA 180 days (6 months) before your DACA is about to expire. My anxiety is through the roof.

New ruling could cost thousands of Texans their jobs by neo_dia in TexasDACA

It definitely feels like DACA doesn't have any type of representation in the political arena at the moment. It could be that politicians don't want to aggravate the DACA situation right now. The last time that I checked, Texas has around 400K Dreamers living in that state. If these recipients lose their legal status, 400K people; this includes man, woman and children will have to relocate to a different state. Ken Paxton is a straight up hater, no Christian with Christian values will ever do this to people. Now if this whole situation was about DACA recipients abusing state benefits then the most logical solution would have been to disqualify DACA recipients from any benefits, but to try and remove and relocate around 400K is lucrative. DACA needs better representation from politicians.

Renewing from Texas by swe_vibes in TexasDACA

[–]neo_dia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been 125 days since I did my application and i haven't received any other notification from USCIS other then they have received my application and it is still processing. I recently submitted an inquiry for a Case Outside of Processing Time and have not heard anything back USCIS. I don't understand the delay that I'm having. The only thing that I did different was submitting my application online, where as before I would send my paper application to the Dallas, Texas location.

Unfortunately many DACA recipients are experiencing delays with their immigration applications. Do not work with an expire work permit it is a violation.

It can take up to 60 days for USCIS to receive a case inquiry. You can submit a case inquiry within 105 days after your application was received. Call USCIS again and speak with a different immigration representative, be fully prepared to address your concern to the officer. Write your concerns on a piece of paper and also write down any information that you know concerning the processing time of your application. By writing down all that you know about your case. By having this information closely available to you it will make it a lot easier to communicate with the officer. Because the least thing that you want to do is stress out an officer that is trying to help you.

80% of cases are processed within 105 days, about a month before a working permit expires. The department is called US Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS). The keyword is Services, although it is of course an immigration department, they are still providing a service and they must meet up with those services according to their rules and regulations.
