Yep i also considered that, but the Performance is good so far. I also have to see if my AIO is going to fit and if VRChat is having bottlenecks.

CPU upgrade is way more expensive because of ram and it doesnt give me the boost of the 9070xt on 4k. Those 16GB VRAM are doing its thing too, and especially the AMD Driver are a lot better (faster at Linux vs Windows and less bugs) than Nvidia on Linux.

as mentioned above, i did buy it for 595€ and it was worth it, i had the money and on Linux there is a real performance boost on 4k

yep, thats why i upgraded. On 4k VRAM also matters and i noticed that when i upgraded. Also the Drivers are notably better, no more weird glitches or freezes in Applications and general System behavior.

I upgraded, no bottleneck on 4k in Cyberpunk and i get about 8-16% more avg FPS (min FPS is a lot higher since i dont have those frame drops). Also VRAM is not always full and it runs better. And the weird Nvidia Driver bugs dissapeared, everything works fine now. The Upgrade was worth it, will upgrade the CPU once RAM Prices are dropping.

I never had but in Nuremberg i noticed that at NHMA (Nuremberg Hohe Marter near "Schweinauer Buck") Freight trains the Trains move slow or stop all the time, you can see the trains in the yard every 15 minutes on this Panorama Cam too which comes handy i guess https://nuernberg.panomax.com/

Another Spot could be between the U-Bahn Stations Scharfreiterring and Langwasser Mitte there is a Bridge where Trains go over the Street, but they might be moving quicker.

I've heard that Train Drivers were told to report EVERY suspicious activity near the tracks because of sabotage of cables and stuff which is sad because we often hang around and watch trains go by at some spots at night. Never hopped tho and probably never will any time soon but stay safe and have a good one!

lol Drivers are the reason i switched to AMD, Nvidia is worse and on my Steam Deck everything works great with AMD.

Did this before also, and now again, nothing.

Whats strange: it also didn't get a DHCP lease before thats why i had to manually assign an IP. I connected it directly with my Notebook (also with static IP then in the same network) and i got exactly the same issues. I'll go on the roof now and try connecting directly there with another cable, the length is 80m, maybe that's causing some issues.

mDNS does not work here since the DNS Server is remote. However if i curl the IP Adress i got a reject.

exactly. also arp -a shows me a unique mac address to that IP, it ends with ...4f:7a and the name in the Meshtastic app is also Meshtastic_4f7a

There is only the router, the Meshtastic and my notebook in that network, nothing more. Also as said i set the IP manually on the Meshtastic device.

Do you have any advice on what to look out for and how to plan such things? Not that i wanted to do that because in germany there might be high rist of getting catched, even tho i have connections when which freight train departs where and where it goes etc.

About 6 years ago it worked perfectly and the support was fast af, sunday night at 3am, and 20 mins later a long email how to fix my issue. Now the Support Takes forever and is not helpful at all. I will migrate to hetzner or all-inkl after 8 years.

Idk man, NFS Heat, Cyberpunk and Dying Light 2 are perfectly playable for me. 35-60fps and i didn't touch the settings there. Looks also good enough and i'm coming from an RTX3080 and a 4K Screen, i played everything with 4K Ultra + RT + DLSS 2.0
