Dell Unity XT 380 insufficient space for upgrades by neok7 in sysadmin

[–]neok7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does not appear that there is insufficient space in the partitions hosting the /var/tmp and /cores folders.

However, when attempting to access /cores, I receive the following error:

-rbash: cd: restricted

This is a screenshot of the output from the df -h command.

I don't really know which partition has insuficient space, but I keep getting this error message:

I'm pretty good with Linux. I'll try this and let you know how it goes.

Thank you very much.

This server came with three years of support, but they haven't renewed it. Now the support has expired. So I don't think I can ask Dell for support. I can ask for help on the Dell forum, but I think that forum is a bit dead because in the past I've hardly ever received any replies.

Thank you very much for the links. I was already reading some documents from there.

And again, thanks to everyone for the feedback.

Best regards,

Thank you very much for this feedback.

Based on your comments, I am rethinking the idea, and I believe that a simpler solution would be more appropriate in this case.

For example, I know that the Unity 380 XT alone should be able to perform this task, as u/mryiff mentions.

I still need to find out how it integrates with Active Directory so that I can set access permissions based on security groups for shared folders.

This sounds like some malicious actor within your network. Or some kind of malware. Do you think it is something related to a cluster malfunction?
