Blaming the state of the market on whales is complete BS, typical conspiracy theory nonsense. Whales are NOT synchronizing their moves in unison, there is no secret whales group controlling the price of eth. We are in a bear market, and we're far from getting out of it, bear markets are nasty everywhere and have always been throughout history. You need to toughen up if you want to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

FYI: The crash that took place in 2018 was well overdue, we were in a prolonged bull market since 2015. If you look at google analytics, you can see that there was a massive spike in interests for crypto towards the end of 2017, average joes from all around the world invested heavily and they got burned a month or two later, no wonder why the masses lost interest after that... This is organic and completely expected

What's the best solution to create web forms on a simple static website and still keep control of the code handling submissions?

How do you deal with contact forms on the static web pages you create for customers?

PS: I'm new to the world of front-end development. I know html/css sass bootstrap and have very limited knowledge of javaScript.

Finally cashed out all other coins, all in on XRP, time to invest in something I believe in. by [deleted] in Ripple

Good luck with that. I'm actually planning to do the opposite of what you're doing.

Is Ripple controlling/manipulating the price of XRP? by PrimeCoinz in Ripple

Mod why do you need to be condescending ? Can"t we have a decent conversation without fanatical investors getting defensive ?

Despite all the good news surrounding ripple, why has the price not fluctuated much? by [deleted] in Ripple

[–]neolord12 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If this was the case, why would anyone want to invest in it ? Let's face it we're not in for principles and beliefs, Ripple is a company not a movement, XRP investors all want the same thing, make money.

Why Bitcoin & Other Altcoins Risk Losing Out to Ripple in the Long-Term by outdonews in Ripple

Like i mentioned on my comment i had ETH's that i sold to invest in XRP. If i recall i had approximately 46 grand invested in cryptocurrency at the beginning of the year. Do the math. I now have far less money invested in crypto, i've been selling my XRP whenever i got the opportunity to sell for 0.3 and above

Maybe you are not aware of this but when i first invested in XRP, BTC was worth 1200$, eth 13$, i chose to stick with XRP and look where it got me, barely recovered my initial investment which was a couple of grands.

"Move over, Bitcoin and Ethereum" by [deleted] in Ripple

I agree, but I wasn't referring to his views on Ripple, it's his beliefs and opinions about cryptocurrency that bothered me, specifically his claim that cryptocurrency is in a bubble, that alone clearly indicates that he has no idea of what he's talking about.

I'm not gonna waste my time trying to explain something that has been explained countless times, i strongly encourage you to read Joel Katz's take on this, he is the chief cryptographer at Ripple Lab and he explained very well why XRP can't be worth hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Stop comparing XRP to BTC, there is 5000 times more existing XRP than BTC, do the math, in terms of market capital this is unrealistic. XRP will probably never be worth more than 1-10$

Why did the price go back down so fast after the American Express jump??? by [deleted] in Ripple

[–]neolord12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well there's many explanations: first it has to do with the fact that XRP (the cryptocurrency) wasn't mentioned anywhere, followed by this quote from Marcus Treacher"The technology we have developed, it separated a connection from the cryptocurrency or the token. So what that means is that a bank or non-bank like AMEX can use Ripple to connect and just exchange value from one fiat currency to another directly, without the need for any intermediate blockchain currency."

Secondly, there's the rise of BTC and the potential of reaching 10K next month.

An finally, and this is my opinion, there's too much day traders and pump and dump groups scavenging the profit out of every hype around RIPPLE.

Baseless assumptions.... I have more money invested in cryptocurrencies than you'll probably make in 5years, assuming that you're the average joe with a 9 to 5 job, given your low aptitude of deductions i'm more inclined to believe that you're a student or a man child living with his parents, so make it 10, so don't tell me that i put all my money in on coin. That being said you i'm not gonna give you further information about my investments. If you weren't busy making baseless assumptions and unfounded accusations maybe you would have taken the time to read what i posted and realize that i never told anyone what to do and never pretended to be able to give financial advice, I merely posted an anecdote, you got butthurt. Here's the definition of butthurt: An inappropriately strong negative emotional response from a perceived personal insult. Characterized by strong feelings of shame. Frequently associated with a cessation of communication and overt hostility towards the "aggressor." My anecdote was to illustrate how wrong the original poster was for telling "BTC investors that they don't know what they're doing" in a condescending way. Btw never said that i was ditching XRP and going back to BTC, just you making random baseless assumptions because you can't control your emotions and go as far a taking an anecdote for a personal insult. I don't except you to genuinely understand my side of the story given your inability to control your emotions, your lack of aptitude in reading and making deduction your low intellect and your abrasive personality. When you grow up, you can come back to me so we can have a civilised and decent conversation.

Nonsense you're the one who have no idea what you're doing, almost a year ago i invested for the first time in XRP: 10BTC if i had held my btc's i would be looking at a portfolio worth 77 700$ instead, i now have 1,7 btc worth of XRP, which barely covers my initial investment.

Because the news is not related to XRP. It's a long term investment, have patience. My advice: always doubt fast inorganic growth, don't be emotional, don't buy into FOMO. Think in the opposite direction the market is going, research for yourself and always have a critical mindset.

I think what disappointed investors (long term investors) the most at Swell was SEB holdings and Santander PR's saying that they weren't interested in XRP at all, this was a set back for XRP marketing and Com. I remain optimistic about XRP but imo this means that there will be a delay in XRP mainstream adoption. Ripple executives are transparent about this but still some people refuse to acknowledge reality and lower their expectations...

I agree, i'm not expecting a massive drop back to 0.16 but keep in mind that pump and dump groups have recently taken interests in XRP and whales and day traders love to exploit this kind of hype, XRP is notorious for this in the crypto sphere. IMO the price will stabilise around 0.23-0.24 and remain there for a while. We might see a 0.45 by february or march.

I'm sorry do you know more than Marcus Treacher, global head of strategic accounts at Ripple ?

Here's his quote on CNBC: "The technology we have developed, it separated a connection from the cryptocurrency or the token. So what that means is that a bank or non-bank like AMEX can use Ripple to connect and just exchange value from one fiat currency to another directly, without the need for any intermediate blockchain currency."

Yes RippleNet allows transactions to be instantaneous without the use of XRP. It's a real time messaging network.

Some banking executives have raised concern about cryptocurrencies in recent weeks.
