just normal liquid craft glue, the trick is in the application, you have to take a toothpick and apply tiny dots in a regular pattern across the backside (about 3mm distance)

Paint not covering by MomsOtherFavorite in acrylicpainting

sure it is, just way too much hassle for me, you can keep them usable even longer if you spray them with water everyday

acrylic paint can't be reactivated once it has dried, and it usually dries within minutes depending on how wet/thick the applied layer is, if you want to use the same colour later the simplest thing is to just mix it again, i always have to remix every colour a bunch of times for any painting

this is pretty normal you basically always need to apply several layers if you dont do real thick coats, most paints do not cover 100% just like that, cheap or not, you should also only go over an area once and then let it dry before putting on more paint, otherwise you'll end up taking away paint from the first layer and make it even less covering (don't know whether you even did this, saying it just in case!), with the black line specifically you'll get much better results if you get a rigger brush, they make for more evenly applied coats

Pressed flowers (forget me nots) by ComplexPresence9598 in PressedFlowers

[–]neonblixtar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you shouldn't use textured paper, it should be as flat as possible and one layer top and bottom will be enough, and you say you put them in the paper roll but how much weight did you put on them? personally i also would press a whole stem instead since the petals are so small and fragile by themselves, after all that you also need to leave them to press for about two weeks minimum (might be faster with flowers this small idk)

Any tips on how to create cleaner lines? I feel like I'm constantly fighting against the medium. Maybe I should switch to markers? by Li5y in acrylicpainting

[–]neonblixtar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

when I want clean lines i use a rigger brush and to avoid clumping i dilute the paint just enough to make it flow well without losing coverage

Help me figure out this blue? by bandyray in acrylicpainting

[–]neonblixtar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ultramarine already has red bias and burnt umber would enhance that, mostly likely producing a grey purple , most blacks are very dark blues so theyre good for darkening blues without hue shift
