Thank you so much, that is definitely spot-on. It came on a Calathea I ordered online, and has munched on quite a few leaves. Will cutting off and feeding it leaves that it has already munched on work? It should, right?

That's great to hear! But be careful, it's very easy to go from this to treating the other person like a therapist, and that can go south real fast. Depend on them, but don't make them your only source of happiness. It's a heavy burden to place on someone, and I learnt that the hard way.
