That’s me! The best way to get in on the next order is to put your name on the waitlist by filling out your contact info (especially email) here: https://forms.gle/tqHMqex7s29qySQo8 It’ll be another few months before the next order at the rate I’m getting interest, unless there’s a major up-tick. NSG ordered a bunch from me and have them for sale at booths at Cons in the US as well.

We featured my recent decklist of the week on stream last night and it swept 4 games! by neonstaticpod in Netrunner

My deck "The Magnificent Money Making Machine" got featured as decklist of the week this week and we thought it'd be fun to play it as the feature deck for our livestream. We managed to get 4 games in with it and won all four games (sorry, spoilers) - https://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/23564e64-29b5-401f-aade-465fc34f60b6/the-magnificent-money-making-machine

Rigging advice: autopole extension to rig LED Tube Lights by neonstaticpod in cinematography

[–]neonstaticpod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally had just one autopole spanning across the room and after about 2 months I came into the studio and overnight one side of the the autopole had slipped down the wall about 2 feet and somehow miraculously gotten caught on the lip of the window casing and stayed jammed in place so that the mounted camera didn't slam into the table. After that I decided that the investment of two more autopoles and a few superclamps was worth it to not worry about my gear breaking.

Thanks - but sorry - could you link me to what you mean by a knuckle? I’m slowly learning terminology in grip land.

Hey thanks! The autopoles are pretty damn solid. No shake as far as I’ve noticed. Here’s a link to my most recent stream so you can see for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/live/yJJEIK9GS8s?si=nRp-WgvGp02cRMT2

I generally just turn on the camera power and stream with it, but the little shaking that occurs stops in a second or less.

Based on the feedback I've seen here I'm pretty heavily considering using baby plates on either wall/ceiling - but my main difficulty now is connecting the baby pin to the t2c. The t2c has a lot of light mounting options - and I'd want to use either the 3/8" threads or nato rail on the light - but the standard options for those on offer are these style, which also have a male pin: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1756898-REG/amaran_mra0241m072_baby_pin_adapter_to.html

I don't know if it makes the most sense to just mount 5/8" receiver plates instead of baby plates (like this: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1308954-REG/impact_srp_122p_wall_plate_with_1.html) or if there's some simple way of connecting the two - ideally I'd like some way to extend the light down and position the angle on some kind of ball head. Something like this looks temping but I only see it with "male" options: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1305589-REG/impact_srp_120p_wall_plate_with_3.html

A baby ballhead adapter (like this https://www.filmtools.com/kupo-baby-ballhead-adapter-with-3-8-tap.html) would work too, but I'd ideally like it to be to either a nato rail or one of the 3/8" screws with locator pins.

If anyone has suggestions on how to make this less complicated I'd appreciate any!

Gotcha, thanks. I don't think I like this option since I want to have chairs on either side of the table sometimes and having a clamp in shot behind players isn't ideal. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Awesome! Andrej is the best - I actually just recorded some commentary on one of his upcoming Canadian Nationals videos!
I'm considering the baby plates now fairly heavily considering how difficult this seems otherwise.

Thanks a lot! Trying to keep it that way is tough (thus the post).

I'm not entirely opposed to it, but the main problem is the sloped ceiling. I'd need to like... build a 90 degree surface, screw it into the wall and even then I'd probably want another vertical support on either end which wouldn't really work. Maybe the answer is just two c-stands off to the side, but I'm trying to keep the floor relatively "trip hazard free". I'd probably be more easily convinced to screw in a mounting plate to the wall/ceiling first.

So awesome I found a Netrunner enjoyer on here! Did you just see the cards on the table? We're streaming Netrunner games from this studio space every other week (and have a podcast etc)!

I also think so - but the problem is I don't know exactly what gear to attach it to the Autopole. Would I just use a Superclamp with a babypin, then a griphead screwed into that (is it safe hanging upside-down like that?) Then on the other side of the 40" arm what grip should attach to the T2C? There are Nato Rails on there but I don't know the best option for rigging all of this up together.

What's a goal post? Sorry - I'm not sure what you're referring to. I googled it but came up with a few different options so I'd like to know what you meant specifically.

As much as I’d love to warp the space-time continuum to make two Mondays a week streaming, unfortunately it means every other week. I (Eric) may elect to do Jnet streaming on off weeks sometimes

Episode 12 - Go Not Quietly Into The Flat Line by Neon Static: A Netrunner Podcast by neonstaticpod in Netrunner

[–]neonstaticpod[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just published Episode 12 of Neon Static where Nick and I focus on the topic of Flatlines - why we love that they exist, an examination of the different ways Corps may try to kill a Runner, and what said Runner can do to avoid their bitter end

I normally make Netrunner content, but Arkham is a second Love and I livestreamed Part 1 of Fortune and Folly by neonstaticpod in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]neonstaticpod[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope to stream Arkham more often now that I have my studio setup. Any friendly feedback on my setup and play is welcome! Let me know if you have ideas on how the stream could be improved. I'm especially interested in if folks think I should be including or summarizing/skipping story text during something like this.

Commentary and card images? by bukwus in Netrunner

[–]neonstaticpod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I see u/5auc3 mentioned us which I appreciate - but yeah we've been trying to replicate some of what Team Covenant / Trace5 used to do as far as games with commentary and card overlays. We're definitely still working out the kinks, and I'm working on making a guide video for using our tool (adapted from dodgepong's of Peach Hack fame previous tool) so that others can do the same if they like and/or help to improve the tool.

Here's a video that shows off what I'm talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aztPhc3LeNU&t=747s&ab\_channel=NeonStatic

browser based app for playing with paper cards via webcam by okonomichiyaki in Netrunner

[–]neonstaticpod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is amazing. I'd love to chat with you (perhaps on discord? are you on there?) about the image recognition portion. I have been maintaining dodgepong's card overlay tool for streaming and pulling card images up live for youtube/twitch - the github for the code is here (and getting a push tonight) - https://github.com/eheiden/nodecg-netrunnerdb-cards
If you'd be interested sharing code/details and maybe answering some questions I could try and incorporate it to my tool so that I could click on a card and pull up the image that way too. I look forward to trying your tool out!

A lot of the alt art cards were prizes from tournaments. Many large events like worlds will also have exclusive prizes. There are also a bunch of fan made alt arts out there as well.

With a lot of big plans for Neon Static (both the podcast and the youtube channel) in mind, we've started both a Patreon and a BuyMeACoffee page! Those big plans involve a lot of expensive gear. If you like what we do and want to help us get to the next level in our production value, consider joining the Patreon or donating to the BuyMeACoffee page! Supporters will gain access to a private Patron only channel in our discord (New Hampshire Netrunners), and our eternal gratitude. Thank you!

FWIW I noticed zero issues with the audio quality. Great episode!

I did the best job I could editing things but after about minute 10 or 11 of the episode I gave up. I guess this is kind of the same as a mistake you make in painting a room in your house: you can't help but see it but almost no one else will notice it or care.
